Team, this happened to me with a client. He had a Marcus business card and couldn't pay it off because he had been paying it on time, but they put him on monthly payments that he couldn't cover, and he literally let it go. Then late payments appeared on his personal account, and he ended up disputing the bill with the FTC+CFPB, but after that process, AMEX literally put limits on his unlimited cards and literally put him in jail. Why? If he has a clean history with Amex, pays on time, has never had late payments with them, nothing, then why did that happen? What does one thing have to do with the other? I saw his report and he is up to date with Amex and owes them nothing, so I don't understand.
