YouTube announces big changes for 2026
YouTube has recently announced big changes - with a big focus on new and smaller channels. I posted a summary of these changes into a course within the classroom.

Great information!
New (very short) Tutorial - in the Classroom tab: How to turn off comments on your videos
This is handy if you keep getting harassed by unwanted comments from trolls on your videos. Note: Don’t do this unless you need to - as ideally you absolutely want comments and interaction to help the algorithm.

Thank you and yes, helpful! Trolls gonna troll.
YouTube Updates - July 2025
Here are some of the key recent updates announced by YouTube: Source: Recent YouTube Event in USA 1. YouTube has increasingly become the centre of global entertainment. This is more than Netflix.  Netflix has 94 Million monthly active users on its ad-supported tier. YouTube has circa 2.7 Billion monthly active users. 2.Treat YouTube as your Digital HQ. It’s more important than a website. Build your channel for search - so it can be found. Your channel will strengthen overtime as you post more videos 3. While the number of Subscribers remains key to monetisation, YouTube are now saying that ‘Interest’ is more important. (There is a recognition that people are hesitant to ‘subscribe’. It’s now more about ‘consumption’ than ’subscription’ ie: Create interest by: Solving a Problem that people are searching for. Investigate a topic that you (and your potential audience) are interested in. 4.Long form videos vs Shorts YouTube Shorts get 3x more views than TikTok You need a strategy to consider a mix of both - or indeed just one of Long Form and Short Form videos. Don’t use AI generated videos! Research shows that people want is ‘Personality & Experiences’: Authenticity Vulnerability Intimacy (with your personality). Examples: “Get ready with me” - preparing for an event - or going out A story of ‘doing a thing’ = the best. 5.More people are now watching YouTube on their tv (not just phones and computers) 6.There remains a MASSIVE payout potential. YouTube paid out circa $70Billion from it’s Partner Program between 2012 -2023 7.Podcasts: Don’t miss this opportunity. Many viewers just LISTEN to Podcasts while cooking or other household chores etc. 8.YouTube is 20 years old! From Creator to Founder, your YouTube Channel is your seed. Example: Mr Beast started on YouTube and now runs several businesses - including Burgers, Clothing and Video Games. There are many other examples too. I trust you found this useful.😀

Definitely interesting. I''m trying to keep my videos down to about 10 min or so. Maybe it's just a limiting belief that I think others won't watch past that. I don't know.
A $15k/mo YouTube funnel is simpler than you think.
• One audience • One clear outcome • One premium price You don’t need a mountain of videos or endless offers. You need 3 right clients. That’s it.

Seems simple enough
YouTube isn’t just for exposure—it’s a 24/7 trust machine.
Most business owners post videos, cross their fingers, and hope for leads. But real growth comes from videos that build credibility and give viewers a clear next step. Are you building trust, or just posting for views?

Trying to build trust... I've been doing something in the comments section leading them over to my Skool page.
