One thing I try to encourage in setting activities or when collecting materials is intention. It doesn't have to have a plan in play but the intention for use needs to be real, age appropriate and authentic. Don't just buy or gather materials for the sake of buying. Go with an intention. What I mean when I say this is, what is your baby interested in? It could be light, colour, putting things in their mouth or finally rolling. What you put our for them to explore must encourage the interest and have intention for exploring and extending this new skill or area of development. Be creative. Don't limit yourself to the toy isle. Look around you. So when you next look for something for your baby. Just think of the intention you're aiming for and think how you can explore together in real life. Josie 🌿

Do you look forward to the weekend or find yourself trying to think of ways to fill your time with your baby and create memories? If there is anything I learned, it's sometimes the quite moments are the memories. Not the special days out or the activities you bay a fortune for. Just the simple walks, family dinners and a trip to a gardens. Don't underestimate the power of a garden centre this time of year. Babies love seeing nature, they rely on Earth to ground them, reset and it activates their senses fully. So find a nice garden to walk in or go have a browse round a garden centre. There will be plenty of time for big days out. But, right now? Your baby just needs you.

How we all doing? It's the middle of the week. Have you managed to enjoy the weather and step into nature? Natural resources and nature itself are one of the easiest ways to entertain and calm your baby and not to mention for you. 🌿

Little by little this week my new space is showing the families sights from my Studio. This transition will be an interesting step and growth. Making change never comes easy 🌿
