Night-shift nurses: what actually keeps you fed and functioning?
I'm a registered dietitian and former night-shift nurse, and I just published "Fueling the Night Shift" — a practical eating guide for people working overnight shifts. It's live here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HC52ZHYT Before I share more, I'm curious what this group thinks: what's your actual go-to for staying fueled between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.? I want to make sure what I'm sharing matches real experience, not textbook advice. Happy to send a free copy to a few of you here in exchange for honest feedback — just comment or message me.

First congratulations on publication of your book. This topic and content is SO important. The feedback comment gave an honest overview of the value you offer in the book. I'm wondering if the suggestions and strategies can easily be applied to day shift? While I'd work bedside, my job often has very long hours that include travel (by car). I'm also 67, so when I get home cooking anything beyond soup, which is the best thing to eat as bed is not far behind eating, is out of question. I'm exhausted. Thank you for providing this book specifically for nurses.
