Ok so I just watched the album review.... where to start. I am pretty much in agreeance with most of your take just maybe less harsh or concerned about it. Time will tell if they fully lose me or not. ORB is the biggest disappointment for me, but there are a couple of other mildly cringe moments as well. I do like Take My Breath, No Good, and surprisingly Hypnotize, but not as much as I like Tippy Toes or Mascara even. 4 Seasons is the best song to me. I think Simon/Chancelor are either running the well dry in terms of ideas or I am just an old metal dude that doesn't get it. But everything they have done before this record I have loved, so yeah, I think something has changed. But I have seen this before in other bands, groups and artists where they take some risks or missteps (IMO) and then alter their course after they learn what is and is not what they like or are about. Hell, maybe this will propel them to exactly where they want to be popularity wise or fanbase wise. I will continue to support them, and I think seeing them live with these songs may change my opinion, but I'll be eagerly awaiting Left Right and Is This Love when they are performing these tracks.
