Additional info: According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), the Labrador Retriever was the most popular dog breed in the United States from 1991-2021. In 2022, it was surpassed by the French Bulldog, which currently has a three-year run as the most popular. As of 2024 (the most recently available statistics), dog breed popularity in the United States ranks as follows: #1 French Bulldog, #2 Labrador Retriever, #3 Golden Retriever, #4 German Shepherd, and #5 Poodle. Labrador Retrievers were originally known as “Lesser Newfoundlands”, and all had black coats. A yellow Labrador Retriever starred in the 2008 movie “Marley & Me”.

Answer to yesterday's question: Question: Which cat breed is the only naturally spotted domestic cat breed and has spots under their coat on their skin? Answer: Egyptian Mau Additional info: The spots of Egyptian Maus are randomly scattered, varying in size and shape. They have an “M” mark on their forehead that is said to resemble a scarab, and “mascara” marks near their eyes. Their eye color is considered “gooseberry green”. Their coats can be silver, bronze, or smoke. They also have a loose skin flap extending from the flank to the hindleg. The Egyptian Mau is regarded as one of the oldest domesticated cat breeds.
