@Andrew Bagdadlian That is a valid question. I have been mastering my own music lately, so I'm basically wearing all the hats, but it really depends how far along you are in your journey. I would say the main metrics are: Tonal balance (checking against reference tracks and making sure it sounds decent on a few different sound sources), and then loudness (once again checking against similar tracks in the genre you're producing in), and finally you can get feedback from your friends or here on Oasis Sound Academy :) In the end though it is your art and its all very subjective. Every track you make you'll get better at this process of "finishing"
