Thought Experiment #1 | The Hostile Witness
Your creator has used the product for a month and doesn't like it. They're also constitutionally incapable of lying. The camera rolls, they talk for thirty seconds, and every word has to be true. What comes out is the product truth with the enthusiasm boiled off. Two outcomes, both useful. If those thirty seconds are boring, the product has nothing to advertise and you're about to sell a feeling instead, which every competitor can copy by Friday. If those thirty seconds are interesting, you've found the ad. Everything after that is surface. The reason it bites harder now than it would have in 1985: enthusiasm used to cost something. You had to cast it, direct it, pay for it. Now it's free, infinite, and identical across every brand in the category, because the models default to it. Hostility is a filter enthusiasm can't get through. Whatever survives the filter is the only part you actually own. As an exercise: write the hostile-witness take first. Then write the real script. Any claim in the real script the hostile witness wouldn't have said, cut it. Please share yours in the comments ALTERNATIVES: The Swap. Replace your product name with the market leader's. If the script still plays, you didn't write an ad, you wrote a mood. The Mute Take. Fifteen seconds, product only. No voice, no text, no music. If there's nothing to shoot, the truth isn't in the object, it's in the situation around it, and that's where the ad has to live.

@Maria MARTINEZ Espinoza If people don't do the work, that is on them and I don't have time for that. The learning process is one of discovery and we do it one step at a time. The community is not something I can control. I will simply be myself and put out content that is fun, challenging and helpful. Those who are like minded with stay and help it grow.

@Maria MARTINEZ Espinoza I think I’m most excited to see people create advertising that actually feels memorable again. Not just another competent 15-second product video, but characters, mascots, slogans, jingles, visual ideas, things with enough personality that you could imagine them still being used a year from now. AI makes it very easy to produce more. I’m more interested in whether we can use it to make things worth remembering.
Introductions
Please say hello and tell us a little about yourself, your goals, and your thoughts on AI and advertising. 😜 Feel free to add any relevant links where people can follow you, and an example of your work with the prompt would be excellent — but none of that is required. Honestly, “hello” is good.

THE PROMPT Photorealistic 1960s American advertising agency meeting room, 35mm Kodak Kodachrome. Elegant blonde woman in her forties entering mid stride, tailored early 1960s dress, coat over shoulders, pearl necklace, gloves, structured handbag, composed and authoritative. Four middle aged men in dark suits, narrow ties, seated around a low table, turning toward her - one mid sentence hand raised, another beginning to stand. Amber whisky in lowball glasses, crystal ashtray with lit cigarette, presentation boards, wood paneled walls, venetian blinds casting hard horizontal afternoon light, tungsten lamps mixing with cooler daylight, cigarette haze. Natural body language, imperfect mid motion poses, realistic facial asymmetry, visible pores, fine lines, rumpled fabrics. Warm tobacco browns, cream, burgundy, muted teal. Fine organic grain, slight halation, soft highlight rolloff. No retouching, no beauty filter, no modern objects. --ar 365:188 THE TOOL: Midjourney v8.2

My New Avatar | Prompt
THE PROMPT: candid photograph, man in his early forties in a 1960s American advertising office, dark tailored suit and narrow tie, white shirt, short side-parted dark hair, clean shaven, leaning back slightly in a chair at a desk, lit cigarette resting in a heavy crystal ashtray with a thin line of smoke rising, glass of whisky beside it, looking off to one side thinking rather than at the camera, unreadable expression, venetian blinds behind him casting hard horizontal light across the room, warm dim interior, muted true-to-life colours, low contrast, healthy skin with fine pores, unretouched, imperfect composition THE TOOL: Midjourney v8.2
