I have held a few interviews for data engineering positions. We ask difficult questions/ case study on purpose. We don’t expect a candidate to know everything. We want to see that the candidate invested themselves in the case study, faced problems, and solved them. If they could not solve all questions, that’s okay too. We want you show us what your issue was, what approaches you tried to solve the issue, and what you would do next if you had more time. It’s more about determination, problem solving skills and reflection rather than „know it all“

@Sammy van den Burg you are right! From experience I would say that a polished CV with 1) good university and/or 2) relevant experience play the largest role in getting to the case study stage. Experience does not need to be a job necessarily. Thus, share what you learn - I’m starting to do the same
