I normally wouldn't write this however I feel obligated to after hearing a horror story today. I actually hear these quite frequently due to the number of people we work with (300+, most in the detailing space), however this one stuck with me. We were working with a guy who's in this group actually and went from under $1k a month to just over $10,000 a month his first 30 days in the program. Everything was great, he had jobs everyday, he was looking to hire an employee, he was able to take care of his child better, and he left his job that he had been planning to leave for years immediately. He reported his marriage improved in a short period of time due to being able to spend more time with his wife since he no longer had to work opposing shifts with his wife and they were both happy he now controlled his schedule. My whole team was very happy for him and helping him plan for the future. Then he got one call that changed everything for him towards his demise... He got a call from a new marketer, who made him tons of promises that sounded enticing like doing more for less, a bigger, better business, more automations, shiny features. They also significantly bad mouthed us, which is below me so I will not entertain the same. He fell for it and we suddenly didn't hear from him for a month. Crickets... A month later he comes back and explains the whole story. He ended up losing money. The guy he engaged with was very novice, and he was forced back into employment due to the lack of sales, a worser job than he had previously. Now he is in a rough spot. I write this because a lot of people are newer to business and I genuinely care about everyone's success here. He mentioned because what he was doing for else worked so well, he assumed everything else had to work to. I felt guilty I did not explain to him how the marketing industry works. Most guys in "marketing" are living in their parents house barely making the same or just a little more than most of you in this program with little business experience and watched a few youtube videos to get started.
