This happens all the time in business because people assume they need the perfect team, systems, relationships, and infrastructure before they can make a serious move. The preparation feels productive, but eventually it becomes another reason they have not started. There is nothing wrong with wanting complete control over your business. However, when you are building something new, insisting on creating every piece from scratch can bury you before the business has enough momentum to support it. You end up spending your time constructing a machine that has not produced anything yet. I built a lot of what I have relatively quickly because I leaned on people who already had certain pieces figured out. That gave me room to produce while learning how everything actually worked, which eventually put me in a stronger position to build more of it myself. The experience and leverage came from using the machine, rather than standing outside of it until I could own the whole thing. Sometimes the smartest move is to use an existing relationship, system, or resource to get where you are going faster. Once the business is producing consistently, you can decide which pieces are valuable enough to bring under your control. Trying to own everything from the beginning usually costs more time than the control is worth. You can still build the entire business you have in mind. You simply do not need to build every piece of it before you begin producing.

I could've made everything completely free and unlocked from day one. The problem is that I've watched what happens when communities do that. Most people join, save a bunch of resources, tell themselves they'll come back later, and then never actually use any of it.
