Video Projects often get stuck on the music - if you select the Music WHILE editing. The key is understanding the workflow and the order in which decisions need to happen. You can’t just finish the video and then change the song—the whole edit is built around the music. 1. Client Meeting & Brainstorming – Understand goals, explore ideas, and have fun ideating. 2. Moodboard & Storyboard – Turn ideas into a visual plan. 3. Pre-Production – Lock dates, locations, crew, and gear. 4. Shooting – Bring the concept to life. 5. Editing & Delivery – Where most people get stuck, but I’ve refined the process: - I first trim all footage to remove noise and get a clear overview. - I analyze interviews to map out the story. - I pick the music first (Epidemic Sound is my go-to). - Then I stick with it—because the music sets the mood, pace, and tone of the video. - With the soundtrack locked, I assemble visuals, refine pacing, add color grading, titles, and polish the final cut. - The takeaway? Select the music first—and don’t change it. Once that’s done, everything else falls into place.
