Thoughts on this mushroom?
I had to page Dr. Fungi on this one :) I'm just learning of a mushroom called Lanmaoa Asiatica, naturally occurring in China and regions in Southeast Asia. As described in this article, Lanmaoa seems to consistently induce non-ordinary states, and visionary encounters with "tiny beings..." Though it appears that the psychoactive compound in these mushrooms, is currently unidentified and unknown (it's not psilocybin). Would be curious to hear any thoughts or reflections on this, as I don't know much about these mushrooms and am interested to learn more. mush love and appreciation ❤️

@Lado Rot the consistency is indeed fascinating. I wonder to what extent that is accurate reporting. I could see an article like this easily missing some of the nuance and depth of such a visionary state. like you said, not yet established entheogenic knowledge in my eyes as well. but intriguing nonetheless! I would imagine that, like any psychedelic or non-ordinary state of consciousness, there is an immensely (infinitely?) broad range of different experiences... though at the same time, it does bring to mind experiences with N,N-DMT... where the overwhelming majority of experiencers do in fact report encounters with beings, entities, other seemingly intelligent forms of life. the ethnographic side is indeed quite interesting as well. i think what caught my attention most was just a fascination and curiosity around: here we may be looking at another visionary mushroom, that despite working with fungi for years... I had never even heard of. and what is the unique potential of what this particular mushroom might reveal about the mind, consciousness, reality itself. those questions drive a deep curiosity and a desire to learn and explore. and, I was partially just curious to what extent you had heard of these mushrooms and/or could validate these reports THANK YOU brother for taking the time to share and reflect and offer your insight :)

@Lado Rot Ah that is most interesting. hm well, I think I would be curious to see research into case reports of the subjective experiences, a qualitative analysis of the visionary properties of these mushrooms. the ethnographical component seems crucial as well because, the BBC article seems to indicate that there is a deep cultural familiarity and knowledge of these mushrooms where they grow in China.
🌍🍄 From Earth to the Stars — and Back
Today I was deeply honored to spend the day with Sunita Williams, former NASA astronaut, in Planica, Slovenia. She is a woman who has lived beyond Earth —months floating in silence, orbiting our blue planet, watching storms, oceans and continents pass beneath her. She has seen how fragile and precious this world truly is. I am someone who walks into forests, into soil, into mushrooms and living ecosystems —guiding people back into the intelligence of Earth. We come from opposite ends of existence: she from space, I from the ground. Yet we speak about the same truth. 🧬 What happens to the human being in space Sunita shared how in microgravity:• the body loses its natural fluid flow• the face swells, sinuses clog, pressure builds• muscles weaken, bones thin• the senses change — taste, smell, touch, orientation There is no silence — only the hum of machines. No wind. No forest. No soil. No microbes. The body slowly forgets how to be Earth. 🌿 And what happens when you return Coming back to gravity is like being reborn into the body. The fluids flow again. The sinuses open. The Earth pulls you home. The senses wake up. This is where my work begins. 🍄 My mission I work with living intelligence —mushrooms, forests, breath, vibration, and the body’s ancient memory of belonging to Earth. Where space weakens the human organism, the living biosphere heals it. 🌍 A message from someone who has seen it Sunita has seen Earth from orbit. She knows — from first-hand experience — that the Earth is round, alive, and unbelievably fragile. She said what many astronauts say: “When you see Earth from space, you realize how everything is connected.” There is no separation. No border. No “elsewhere.” Only one living system. ✨ Why this meeting mattered We met at the crossroads of: cosmos and soiltechnology and naturestars and fungimind and bodyfuture and origin It was a remembrance. 🌱 Invitation Protect your senses. Protect your connection to Earth. Touch the soil. Breathe the forest. Listen to silence.

Amazing! Such beautiful, incredible humans. this post reminds me of the so-called "astronaut overview effect"... the psychological (or spiritual) shift astronauts experience seeing earth from space... viscerally feeling the unity and interconnection of all life. self-transcendence. a deepened sense of planetary stewardship. Unsurprisingly, a direct match to the themes that often emerge in psychedelic & non-ordinary states of consciousness. Mush love 😊🍄❤️
✨ Frequency Update: The Code of Love ✨
@everyone Close your eyes. Breathe. Place a hand on your heart. And let this frequency enter you: “I am held. I am guided. I am loved. And through me, love moves.” This is not an affirmation. Not a thought. Not a mantra. It is a remembering. Wherever you are right now — in clarity or confusion, softness or struggle —love is already reaching for you. Love is already listening. Love is already here. You only need to open a tiny doorway inside yourself… and the light enters. You don’t need to do anything. You don’t need to fix anything. You don’t need to be more “spiritual,” more perfect, or more ready. Love comes because you are love. Let this code settle into your chest, melting the heaviness, awakening gentleness, inviting joy. Allow yourself to be loved. Allow yourself to love. Allow yourself to be light. ✨

Question about 🍄!
Hello hello 🙂 As someone who has never tried Amanita before, but has sat with Psilocybe mushrooms many times... I am wondering about the idea of combining the two different mushrooms and ingesting them together...? would they "synergize" well, is that something that is worth exploring? or not really recommended? Of course, I first want to explore Amanita by itself and really take my time with getting to know this medicine. It's just a curiosity that popped into my mind, as I heard someone discussing the idea of taking Amanita on the "come-down" of a psilocybin journey... and it got me wondering to what extent these mushrooms would combine well. Or not! Maybe it's better to really commune with each medicine individually. Almost as a matter of respect and honoring their unique offerings. I will have an opportunity to sit with Amanita soon (low dose) and am so much looking forward. would appreciate and value any thoughts and feedback Dr. Fungi 🙏 and anyone else. Mush love 🍄❤️

Amanita Muscaria Mushroom - The Sacred Medicine 🙏🍄🙏
Amanita is a feminine intelligence. Not in a “gender” sense, but in presence:soft, ancient, patient, deep, lunar, introspective. More grandmother than teacher… More mirror than guide. She doesn’t like force. She doesn’t open quickly. She observes you first. Amanita works differently from Psilocybin or DMT: 1. She works through the nervous system Calming, reorganizing, balancing. You feel it in the body before the mind. 2. She works through dreams Often the biggest teachings come at night. She teaches in symbols, archetypes, memory. 3. She is somatic, emotional, grounding... Not cosmic explosions .Not visual fireworks. More like:“Sit. Breathe. Feel. Remember. Release.” 4. She brings suppressed emotions to the surface But in a gentle way — like opening old drawers with soft hands. 5. She teaches humility and presence. There is no running with Amanita. Only being. Her specialty? Shadow integration. Trauma unwinding. Nervous system reset. Reconnection with the body. Rebuilding inner safety. Ancient memory. And the remembrance of who you were before the world shaped you. If you ever choose to meet her: Start slow. Very slow. Micro first. Let her feel you. Let her choose the pace. She is not a party medicine. She is not a “trip.” She is a relationship. And if you approach her with respect and patience…she opens like a temple. I’m here if you want to explore this further & holding the place for this Sacred Medicine🌿✨
