What does it mean to have proper set & setting during a psychedelic journey? It is the environment & the mood that you have chosen for the experience. It is so important to be mindful of where you are & who you are around to ensure the most beneficial experience for everybody that is involved. Whether you are alone or with other people, you need to be at home or in the home of someone that you trust. You need to be in a safe environment. This is a big part of setting your intention for the experience. If everyone feels safe beforehand, then even if the experience becomes turbulent, it is going to be beneficial for everyone. Once you have come into the higher state of consciousness of the medicine & all of the sensations that you feel in your body while you're coming up begin to stabilize it is completely okay to venture out & go for walks in nature but be very mindful of where you take your adventure. Spending time outside in nature is one of those most healing experiences that we can have while on a plant medicine because we are literally returning to ourselves in a place that is most natural to us but I would definitely have a destination in your mind before you take the medicine.
