Any advice?
Hey guys, I know a lot of you are already operating at a pretty high level in audio. So I have a question for my personal benefit: I'm studying to take my CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) exam, does anyone here have a CTS? And do you have any advice for me as I study for the exam?

Q & A Replay
Hey! Well, that was our first live Q&A with Sound Guy 101. What a turnout!!! We had 1 amazing member join us today...... okay it was just me. But in this video I cover some common live sound questions, I give you a bit of backstory on my live sound journey, and we get into some detail about feedback, and digital vs analog mixers. Feel free to leave your questions here for next time, I'd love to help anyone with any problems you've been having. We're going to do a live Q&A every 2 weeks on Tuesday at 12PM. Make sure to mark it in your calendar, I want to meet all you amazing engineers, and aspiring sound guys!

Analog or Digital?
Hey Sound Guys and Gals, I’m curious to know if you have any experience using a mixer. And if so, do you use an Analog or Digital mixer? Let me know what you guys are working with!

@Caidan Channing x32 is essential!! It’s nobody’s favourite console, but they’re EVERYWHERE. gotta know them!
Intro
Good morning/afternoon everyone, I am a Canadian musician and 'music engineer'. I have been writing, recording, producing, mixing, and mastering my own music since I was 12, so roughly 10 years now, though it has only been in the last 3 or 4 years that I actually stated to focus on learning the post production side of things. In last year or so, I have also taken up running sound for local shows every so often. I figured taking this course will probably teach me numerous things that will be applicable to both studio and live sound.

Hey Caidan! Welcome, fellow Canadian! Great to hear you’re digging in with sound. It’s super rewarding. The course definitely has foundations that apply for both studio and live. But it will be particularly helpful with the local shows you’re talking about. Will you be joining the live Q&A today in 1 hour? It’d be great to meet you!
Q & A TODAY!!
Only 3.5 hours away, set a timer, and write down your questions! This first live Q&A is open to all members. Anyone is welcome to join in and have a discussion with me. I'm here to answer any questions you have about audio, gigs, or Sound Guy 101, or just to chat and meet the people in our global community! I'll record the Q&A so you can watch it afterwards. I hope to see you at 12PM (EST) today!
