That is awesome. I’ve been watching the content with my boys. It’s really helped them and me a lot. Ten classes in, I’ve been constantly asked if I’m exaggerating when I say I have less than 2 week training. We also watch the YT submissions too.

Today was a great day.
I hope very one is having a great day. Thursday, my son was able to earn his first stripe. Today was the first competitive event with an in-house hosted tournament. He took second place in Gi. My family had a blast watching and learning all of the competitors. I hope you all had a great weekend.

Howdy howdy.
Hi all. I’m Jon. I’ve studied some Vee Arnis a good while ago in my 20’s. Back at that time, my favorite was the rear naked choke. At 45 now, I’m shiny new at BJJ and am just getting started out with two of my children who are 10 and 11 years old. I hope to learn and grow in the gym and here in the community.

@Malachy Friedman I’ve learned that I really need to work on my breathing technique so I don’t gas out so quickly. That and to keep my knees to my chest. Legs got snatched up so fast by a coach who is a giant compared to me that when I flew back I smacked my head on the mat pretty hard. He felt bad but I reassured him it’s a part of the learning curve and I’m still happy to be there. Outside of that, still watching the other students and coaches roll. Seeing what I can try out. Thank you for asking.
