Could your letter survive the “AI SLOP” button?
LinkedIn recently gave users a button to flag content that “Seems Like AI Slop”. More than ONE MILLION peeps have already used it. And LinkedIn says its reduced views of content classified as AI slop by 40%! BUT your prospect is doing the exact same thing in their head when they open your letter. They read two lines and they KNOW. “I came across your facility and was truly impressed by your commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.” No human would ever say this lol Look… I’m not saying don’t USE AI. Use it to research the prospect, dig up details and knock out a rough draft. But if you copy-paste what ChatGPT spits out and shove it in the box next to the gift… You just mass-produced your first impression. And you’re straight into the same mental box as every cold email and LinkedIn DM they deleted that morning. The OPPOSITE of what we’re trying to do. I’m always one for adding personality to EVERYTHING… as ya probably notice in these posts. You don’t have to go as far as me. It just needs to sound like YOU. So read your letter out loud before sending it. If it sounds like anyone could’ve sent it to anyone… it’s not ready. AI can do the legwork. Don’t let it own your first impression. Dan P.S This goes for ANY outreach you do… Cold email, Linkedin DMs, IG DMs etc etc Avoid AI Slopping your prospects Be human - and you’ll see your response rates go up

The read-out-loud test is gold—half the AI phrases fall apart the second you try to say them like a real person talking. I've caught myself flagging my own drafts that way more than once.
🏀 Client Scoring 101 🏀
I used to play semi-pro basketball… so excuse me for the analogy… If you understand the basics of basketball… When it comes to landing clients… You’ll outscore nearly everyone else. Every campaign has THREE parts that need to be dialled in. 🏀 𝟏. 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘 This is your gift, letter and offer. Everyone loves talking about WHAT gift to send. But a fancy bottle won’t rescue a boring, generic letter. The gift gets their attention. The letter and offer create the opening. A flashy gift can’t rescue a rubbish play. ⛹️ 𝟐. 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐓 Most peeps are trying to score on the same overcrowded courts. Cold email. LinkedIn DMs. Paid ads. Everyone’s fighting for attention in the SAME places… And somebody else owns the court. Google can send ya straight to spam. LinkedIn can change the rules overnight. Ad platforms can increase the entry fee whenever they fancy. Meanwhile… Lumpy mail puts you somewhere most competitors completely ignore. Their DESK. No spam folder. No promo tab. No ad auction standing between you and the prospect. 🎯 𝟑. 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐓 The gift creates an opening. But openings disappear FAST. Track the delivery. Then follow up while your name and gift are still fresh. We understand how to use ATTENTION & TIMING to our advantage so we can dunk on our competitors day after day after day! Now… Question for you?🫵 👉Which of these Client Scoring 101 topics do you want the mostest? 👇👇👇

Definitely the court because that's where the shots and the plays occur.
