My client's BBQ spices video
Please be brutally honest with your critique! My client bought a series of videos from a barbecue pitmaster website. He asked me to take clips from from them so he could use them to entice people to join a club where they can watch the full length videos. So these videos have already been edited. Since these are being posted on YouTube and other social media, I cut out a lot of the pauses and filler words. I also tried to use pattern interrupters. The original editors did not. However, I couldn't add much B Roll. I didn't want to make it look significantly different than the original. Please let me know where I could've done a better job with making smoother jump cuts and one member of my client's team thinks that the video ends to abruptly. I think that was the best I could do since I was cutting out a clip from a 12 minute long video. Thanks for your input! https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/sgg16mlug3wwl2ejynvfp/Tuffy-Stone-Fresh-BBQ-Rubs.mp4?rlkey=jf6a41ppgnjqi6z0m17t73ba8&st=dl6juzk5&dl=0

@Dave Wallace Thanks for the review. I use sfx and animations because that's what @Trevor Jones teaches in his CapCut course. Actually, for a previous video I did for my client, I used "stickers" as a visual, instead of text. My client wasn't a fan of them. He's a senior citizen and a lot of his followers are middle aged and older. So, we landed on text. However, he and I both like the animations. Sometimes, I'll also add a sound effect like a "pop" or a "whoosh" to add some more depth to the effect. As for the ending, I found an additional scene for the original video that provides a better ending than what I first edited.

@Dave Wallace He and his course are the biggest reasons why I joined this group. His tutorials are great. They're easy to follow and he does a great job of making you understand why you should learn those things. Plus, he really sells that CapCut is one of the easiest, most affordable and robust editing programs out there. Also, you can see that Trevor is very enthusiastic about teaching this and all of the videos are interesting to watch.
Capcut going crazy
I just tried to log into my Capcut; the first message I got was that my account would be deleted since I am not over 14 years old. So, I submitted an appeal. I bought the Pro version last June, which is good until June 2025. It would not let me access my pro version, which prevented me from exporting my latest video. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If yes, how did you work around it? ANY SUGGESTION

@Ken King That 14 year old requirement and him sending a photo of his ID sounds like a scam. I'm hoping I'm wrong.
My Voice and my latest Travel Video
Good morning, As I have communicated with some in the past, I rather be using an AI voice than my own. It was suggested that I send a recording of my voice for others to comment on. Also, I have attached a recent promotional video that I created that I used to promote which allowed this trip to completely fill up

1) I agree with the others @Alan Morgenstern. You have a great voice. If you want to use AI because of time issues or because you make a lot of mistakes, then I'd use the AI. Other than that, I always prefer natural voices over AI. 2) I liked the Canadian travel video. If I were to nitpick, I'd use different train clips instead of going back to the yellow one all of the time. With that said, I think you did a great job of using B Roll. 3) I didn't like the Polish travel video as much. It's still fine, but I liked the Canadian one better because you used B Roll as pattern interrupters.

@Alan Morgenstern It's interesting that you're asking me that. I'm doing @Trevor Jones CapCut course and I'm now at the AI lesson. So I'm just about to jump into it. While I'm not a fan of AI images and sounds, I love the fact that not only can you overdub someone's mistakes you can now do things like make them look and sound like they are speaking a foreign language. That and templates, Transcription editing, script writing, etc... I'm excited to see what else AI can do to help me.
Short
Hey Everyone, I've been out sick for the last 6 weeks - eyes gave me hell. 👀 Finally got out to my latest listing and shot this short. Are Shorts legal in this community? Thoughts? https://youtube.com/shorts/DUycJvFACE4

I absolutely love this video! As if you didn't do a great job engaging the viewer, the shots were outstanding, the editing was superb and the drone footage was incredible! The only thing bad I can say is, you asked people to call you but you didn't put your phone number in the outro graphic. If you have it in your video description, that's good. But it would be better in the graphic.
Screen Recording.. NOPE
Hey Trevor, just watched your https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guRsZUv1XcY capCut screen recording.. Great help... However, when I upgraded, it hopped to 5.7.0-beta7 .. and no screen record option.. :(

I edit long form YouTube videos and repurpose them into short form social media clips for busy Business Coaches and Online Course Creators
