Freight Skool Member on 60 Minutes last night
Anybody else see our very own @Robert Carpenter on 60 minutes last night? Exposing Chameleon Carriers and talking about the safety of all of us on our roads with these guys skirting the laws? Thank you Rob for representing all of us in Freight Logistics who care about the people, especially drivers who these rogue carriers hurt. Check out the episode here: https://www.cbsnews.com/60-minutes/

@Anna Astrup my apologies for the late reply. Sure thing, love to help out if I can.
Cargo Van Class 1 man 1 van vs Fleet
In General, a fleet will financially operate at less than half the cost you will. Making it very hard to compete with them on the local contracted, dedicated freight market from a price perspective. Another thing that you have to remember is a local consistent route that happens everyday and pays an amount to make you profitable means that the customer is looking for NO interruption in service. The shipper wants to be with someone who has a backup (Fleet). Even if you tell them I never get sick, my van is new it’s not going to break down, my kids have perfect attendance I never have to stay home. You are at a disadvantage as a 1 man 1 van company.

Yup. The 1 man band will eventually want to take a day off or a vacation or have a mechanical issue. And if you need 7 day a week coverage you need to have options.
Fuel is limited at truck stops?
Has any dispatchers recently getting feedback from the driver and carriers about getting fuel at the pumps and it’s a minimum or it limited them to get a full tank?

Haven’t heard of any limits on the East Coast.
Freight Skool Activity
Since our goal is to create an Active Community of Professionals that help each other Educate and Inform about important topics regarding Freight Transportation Logistics it is time once again to purge our membership. We will be eliminating memberships of those that don’t show activity in the group. It’s better to have a small group of members who are active and share value or get value from Freight Skool than have a bunch of members who only enter to see what they can get. I want to thank everyone who have become members of Freight Skool and continue to participate in our community. If you have not been on in a while this email is a nudge to get you back in. On Tuesday March 31 all accounts with no activity over the last 30 days will be purged (churned) from the group. So get on and get active. We hope to see you post or comment in the near future. Thank you everyone for making the Freight Skool community the #1 Freight Logistics community on the Skool Platform!

Celebrity in our Group
Of course it would be our very own @Ingrid Brown who would drive her beautiful Peterbilt to deliver the Christmas tree to the Department of Transportation. Here is a link to the video on fb. Thank you Ingrid for leading the way with professionalism in Freight Transportation. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1D4YeGWhPF/?mibextid=wwXIfr
