This is what gets me out of bed each morning... πŸ”₯ Hey everyone! I’m John Pastor, the dynamo driving record-breaking profits without resorting to discounts. πŸš€ As the CEO of Sydney Adventure Guru, I’m not just an international speaker, but a passionate advocate that *value triumphs over price-cutting every single time. When everyone else races to the bottom, I help businesses ZIG while their competition ZAGS. πŸ’‘ 🌏 My Journey? It all began during my school days, organising epic events...not by selling cheap tickets, but by crafting unforgettable experiences. That lesson stuck with me. Instead of discounting, I mastered the art of adding value and boosting profitability. Today, I enable brands to *ditch discounts and reward customers in smarter ways, like offering complimentary holidays as incentives! 🏝 πŸ“ Based in Sydney, I turn the city into my playground for team-building and networking adventures. Whether it’s corporate bonding, high-energy events, or marketing strategies that drive revenue, I’m here to help. Looking forward to sharing, learning, and conquering together! πŸš€πŸ”₯ https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnpastor-yougottalovesydney/

@Toms Astahovskis OOOH! Cool!! Thanks for the warm welcome and kind words, Toms. I'm glad to hear that my passion for creating unforgettable experiences resonates with the group's mission and piques your interest. Turning a Group into a Playground Experience That's a fantastic idea! Making a group feel like a playground is all about adding value, encouraging networking, and sparking creativity. I've found that the best experiences aren't about discounting (it's my lifelong passion to use discounting sparingly), but about offering something unique and memorable. It is something I do with holiday incentives. Here are a few ideas based on my experience creating unique adventures in Sydney: - Encourage Value-Adding Challenges: Instead of a typical "share your work" post, turn it into a game or a challenge. For example, you could say, "This week's challenge is to solve a problem for another member without charging them." This encourages collaboration and value-adding without the expectation of a transaction. I could offer a complimentary 3 night stay in Las Vegas as an additional incentive to contribute. - Host Themed "Play-Dates": Organise virtual meet-ups or "adventures" with a specific theme. It could be a collaborative brainstorming session for a new project, a "show and tell" of a favourite tool, or a "mystery" challenge where a few members work together to solve a fun, creative puzzle. This helps break down barriers and gets people networking in an exciting way, which is a key challenge for many groups. I could offer $100 Hotel Savigs Cash Cards to everyone who turned up on time. The most powerful outcome of these experiences is networking and building strong connections. When you focus on creating a unique, value-driven experience, people will naturally want to participate and contribute. It's about moving from a transactional mindset to an emotional one, which is how you create true engagement. What do you think? Do any of these ideas spark your interest?
What are your Flow breakers?
Flow Breaker is anything (thought, feeling, action, environment, reaction, distraction) that breaks your Flow. So, I'm curious, what are the things that currently break your Flow? And how are you dealing with them? Also, feel free to share your experience with your past flow breakers. How did you overcome them? Share your insights, lessons, and strategies below! πŸ‘‡ πŸπŸ™πŸ’

The biggest lesson I've learned is that flow is not just about willpower; it's about preparation. By creating a system to manage my environment and my tasks, I've learned to deal with my flow breakers before they even happen. It’s not about forcing yourself to focus; it's about setting up the conditions where focus comes naturally.
