My Legacy Has Come to Life!
I asked this question yesterday. “If you had to define your legacy in one sentence, what would it be?” I don't know if I ever shared with you guys my legacy that I'm leaving, or my purpose for living. but about 25 years ago I was at a conference in Phoenix Arizona and during lunch I climbed one of the mountains in downtown Phoenix and set up there, looked up in the sky and said God all I want to do is bring out the best in people. And I took a stone home from the top of that mountain and it sits on my desk everyday. The picture of it is at the bottom here. It took me a few decades to grow into the person I need to be to allow my purpose to come to life, but today I live for one purpose and that is to bring out the best in people. That is the Legacy I am going to leave. Just cuz it took me so long doesn't mean it's going to take you that long, that is just my journey. But I'm curious where you are on your journey and discovering your purpose?

For me it's wanted to help make this world a better place to live while I can.😁
Societal Expectations that Derail our Legacy Building
Societal and family pressures that can derail individuals from achieving their legacy by promoting conformity to external expectations over personal aspirations. Succumbing to these pressures fosters self-doubt, emotional strain, and misaligned decisions, steering individuals away from their unique goals. Without clear boundaries, self-awareness, and supportive systems, these influences can suppress creativity and ambition, leaving their true potential unfulfilled. By prioritizing others' visions of success, individuals risk losing the authenticity needed to build a lasting legacy. - Set Clear Boundaries: Communicate your goals firmly and assert your independence respectfully. - Cultivate Self-Awareness: Regularly reflect on your values and ensure your decisions align with your aspirations. - Build a Support System: Surround yourself with mentors and communities that validate your vision and encourage personal growth.

This is the Legacy you are presently leaving...
What people say about you when you're not around reflects your character and impact. You control this narrative through your choices and actions, so strive to uplift, inspire, and leave a positive impression—your reputation is built in your absence. If your legacy isn't what you want, reflect, rebuild trust, and align your actions with your values. Show integrity, invest in relationships, and make consistent efforts to leave a positive impact. Your legacy is shaped daily—start crafting it intentionally. To create a defined legacy, clarify the impact you want to leave and align your actions with that vision. Reflect, rebuild trust, and live your values daily. Consistent, intentional efforts will shape the meaningful legacy you desire. This is important to building a legacy for ourselves.
