Hello everyone, very excited to be a part of this group and learn from each of you. I'm an entrepreneur, started my first business in college 20 years ago and had the bug even before then. I'm almost 2 months post exit of a SaaS company my partner and I started in 2015. Consulting for the new owners for a few more weeks and looking forward to wrapping that up. I am NOT a computer guru, my partner was the coder/programmer and I ran all business operations. Been looking pretty regularly for an acquisition since November '24. I have a lovely wife and 4 beautiful kids. Our oldest has health challenges that make every day with her a blessing and also mean it would be ideal for me to find something in the Greater Cincinnati area. Heard back from a broker on an LOI I submitted last week (Apparel screen printing business in my local area). Unfortunately, they are going with a different buyer who gave them full asking price, whereas my offer was slightly lower. For what it's worth, broker said the seller was seriously considering my offer, so asked me to check back in 1-2 months to see if the deal is back on the market. So, back to the drawing board. Today's plan is to evaluate CIMs and financials for two new businesses also in my local area, and schedule broker/seller meetings tomorrow or next week.
