Celebrating a milestone today! 🎉
Today my author's copy of my first devotional, The Next Faithful Step, arrived in the mail. Holding it in my hands reminded me of something I've been learning throughout this journey: big goals aren't accomplished all at once—they're built one small, consistent step at a time. This project started as an idea. There were plenty of moments of doubt, revisions, and opportunities to quit. I'm so thankful I kept going. My biggest takeaway is this: Progress comes from showing up consistently, even when you can't see the finish line yet. I'd love to hear from you... What's one win—big or small—that you're celebrating this week?

Title idea/format
I have a goal to write a book on each of the 22 Major Arcana of a Tarot Deck. I've got some ideas pinging around and I'd like some input. The first book is going to be an introduction to the series. I'm going to use "The Tarot" as the part that will change with each book. If you have a title suggestion, or other input, please post it in the comments. Thank you!

This is such a fun series concept! Using "The Tarot" as the fixed anchor with the changing card name is a smart structure — readers browsing your author page will immediately understand it's a series. One thing I'd test: make sure the card name reads clearly even to someone who's never touched a tarot deck, since a chunk of your audience will find these titles through curiosity rather than existing tarot knowledge. Excited to see where you take this!

@Lesley Forrester That makes sense, and the card image on the cover should help a lot with instant recognition for anyone browsing a series. Sounds like you've got the structure well thought out.
Introduction
👋 Hi everyone! John here, from Merritt Island on Florida's Space Coast 🚀. I already said hi in the "Where Is Everyone From" thread, but wanted to do a proper intro too. 📚 I've been self-publishing since 2012 (18 books across a few pen names and genres, started with a cookbook that hit bestseller status my first year out) and I'm here to get sharper on marketing and visibility since that's still where I have the most to learn. I also built a tool that helps me get my manuscript ready to publish. Happy to help where I can!

@Andrew Brooks Congrats on taking the leap, Andrew. My first book was a cookbook too, and honestly the hardest part was just committing to a topic and finishing the draft. Once you get through that first one, the process gets a lot less intimidating. Good luck with it!
