This world is full of darkness. Most days seem to be filled with anxiety, despair, and frustration. It's hard to see a way forward, just to make it to another day. However, there is a light we can look to. That light is the love of God. During the times we feel anxious and afraid, we can call on God and trust in Him. When this world feels dark, let us call upon the name of the Lord.

If we cannot be faithful with the smaller things we have, we shouldn't expect God to bless us with more. We have to be better managers of our minds, our money, our thoughts, our bodies, and our time. We have to not only manage well but to have the right attitude about all things. Let us be faithful and consistent to that which we have.

Our lifestyles, our habits, and behavior patterns are the fruit of what we believe, good or bad. If we use wisdom or lack wisdom, our lives will reflect that. All true wisdom and good gifts come from heaven above. Let us ask for wisdom from God, who gives wisdom generously. Wisdom from above will allow us to live an abundant fruitful life.

There is nothing wrong with having material things. There is even anything wrong with being rich or wealthy. The trouble comes when we value money, cars, clothes, anything material thing over a relationship with God. Salvation, a life dedicated to serving God is more important than material things. Let us be more invested to the relationship with Christ more than any person, place, or thing. Only what we do for Christ has eternal value, so let us dedicate ourselves to good works and to the work of God's Kingdom.

We only have but so much strength and ability as humans. Too often, we try to take on too much in our own strength. That strength is bound to fail. However, the Lord promises us new strength. We have to be patiently wait for God. God's promise is to renew our strength when we wait upon Him. Let us wait for the Lord to renew us. It is a blessing to know that God is with us, even when our strength fails and our own efforts fall short.
