It got me thinking about a conversation Dallas and I had a while back about hosting an AI Surfer meet-up at my 140-acre farm, Queenslake, in Kentucky. Life got busy, but the idea is now back and bigger than ever. Here’s the vision: A 7-15 day "AI Ethics & Education Bootcamp" – an immersive, in-person experience right here on the farm. Why this is different: We teach AI with a unique twist: we focus on ethics first. Before any tools or tricks, we teach the why – the power of AI for good (research, innovation) and the risks (deepfakes, cheating). It’s about using tech with a moral compass. The Vibe: - By Day: Deep-dive into AI and ethics in a massive indoor arena (fits 1,500!). - By Night: Experience Kentucky – bourbon tastings, horseback riding, bonfires, ATVs, kayaking, live music on a covered stage, and more. It’s a full-blown adventure. We’re thinking tiered tickets to make it affordable or top shelf with all the bells and whistles. This could be HUGE for our community. Hello AISurfers, Every year, we host the Mogadishu Mile Remembrance Event at my Kentucky horse farm to honor the 19 soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Battle of Mogadishu (depicted in the movie Blackhawk Down). We pay tribute with a military fitness competition and 1-mile ruck run around our lake. Over the past five years, we've grown significantly, with actual soldiers, including those from the battle, attending and participating. During our ceremony, we display graphics for each fallen soldier. I've attached static image samples for reference. We're seeking help to bring these graphics to life using AI, envisioning short MP4 videos with head movement and blinking eyes. If you can assist, please reach out. John Chmela
