An Update on Capital of Comics
Hey everyone, Straight to it. Effective immediately, we are pausing both the Capital of Comics Masterclass and the Capital of Comics Podcast. I've spent the last few weeks trying to find a version of this that keeps the weekly live format while still delivering on everything else in front of me. It doesn't exist. Things are scaling faster than I planned, and a 90-minute live recording, plus a full edit and distribution cycle every single week, is a commitment I can't currently meet to the standard this community deserves. So rather than quietly letting the quality slide, I'm making the call to pause, re-strategize, and relaunch with a sustainable plan. Here's what doesn't change, and what gets better. All 30 episodes of the Capital of Comics Masterclass are now free to every Academy member, current and future. Full-length live Q&A recordings, not the trimmed public cuts. Unlocked permanently. That's the part I want you to actually act on. Thirty sessions on business development, crowdfunding, marketing, building a vision, and thriving in a creative business. Most of you caught a few of these live and never went back through the rest. The archive is the product. It always was. The live sessions were just how it got made. So go watch them. Start anywhere, pick the episode that hits closest to whatever you are stuck on right now, and work backward from there. If an episode raises a question, post it in the community. That's what this room is for, and I am still in here. The Academy stays open. The library stays yours. Let's continue to build and grow together. 1% better daily. Joel

Worldbuilding Updates and a Quick Question
Hey, I hope everyone had a good weekend! I have more updates for my sketches and worldbuilding. I also had a quick question at the end of the post. The sketches here are a finished page with 2 new pages with ideas mainly for the fire faction. I'm playing around with metal armor based on a torch alongside volcanic style protrusions. The water faction will also get more designs in the near future. My question for all of you is if you would buy figures based on my recent work or my artwork in general? I was curious if people would want a way for my recent drawings to be turned into 3D statues, action figures, and/or miniatures since I would love to go in that direction. I need a lot of help though so feel free to point me in a new direction or contact. Your questions, comments, thoughts, and suggestions are always welcome. You can also share my posts and sketches around for more connections to help build this world. Thank you for your support! Enjoy!

Hey @Terence Moronta! I think you're off to a great start. My best piece of advice would be to start with one character and perfect it. Toy making is an expensive endeavor, so the best thing you can do is start small. Instead of trying to shotgun approach a whole world, start with a character. Get the details perfect for that first character. Learn how to do turnarounds as well, so you can show the same details from different angles. As always, let us know if you have any more questions!
Capital of Comics Change of Schedule
Hey Everyone! Due to some schedule conflicts, our Capital of Comics guest for this evening is unable to join us. While unfortunate, that's part of the risk of a live show. We'll be back next week, and I'm planning some special stuff for August to make up for the shows we missed this month. In the meantime, let's continue the group discussions and Q&A discussions in the feed. Thanks, and I'll see you next week!

Hello (Help with Worldbuilding Sketches)
Hi everyone! My name is Terence and I'm an artist trying to start up a big project. I have some experience with self publishing a coloring book, but I still have a lot to learn about being a creative. I've loved drawing since I was a kid and want to keep creating alongside good people. It's been a dream of mine to start and maintain my own art business involving my current project. Here are some of the sketches I have for the project so far. It's subject to change, but I think I have a solid foundation for the world and ideas for what I want to make. I would love to chat, talk more about this project, and take in any feedback from the community. Thank you and enjoy!
