You are such a youngster. Congrats. I thought I was about to order 20 from Ingram for a round of visits to nearby bookstores for comments, but thoughts from this group have pushed me into another editing round. Maybe next month.

I am working at putting my first book into the market. However, I have also been screenwriting for 25 years. For example, during that time, I have been part of two groups that met weekly where people brought up to 10 pages for the group to read and comment upon. Very helpful. As I see it, Julie has provided the service of bringing us together as responsible adults to work as sub-groups in any way we choose to structure. Would I want to be part of a zoom group to exchange constructive comments? Absolutely YES. Julie has written two excellent books that have jiggled my thinking. She also offers the Author Launch Kit (ALK). This forum appears to be an open opportunity for people to use in any (non-SPAM) way we see fit to advance our projects.

Hi, all! I'm publishing my first book now, as well.... a very powerful opus, as Volume I of my trilogy: Devia Vaticana ~ Holy Orthodoxy! A book too powerful for sponsors to sponsor, publishers to publish it & priests to review it! So, I may have to self- publish it. First time author without a big name, agents and publishers won’t talk to you. Most of us are in the same boat. Read Julie’s books, use the alk (author launch kit) and stay in motion. All the things you need to do will eventually get done.
