This isn’t Summer Break, It’s Separation Season
Every athlete says they want more playing time, more recognition, more offers, and more success. But summer is where those goals get tested. Some athletes will spend the next few months getting better. Others will spend the next few months getting older. There is a difference. The athletes who show up consistently, embrace the grind, and stay disciplined when nobody is watching are the ones who create separation. What are you doing this summer to separate yourself from the competition? 👇 Drop your biggest basketball goal for this summer in the comments. Work Ethic… It’s Mandatory! 💪🏀

No question is too basic. Ask below and I’ll answer.

The correct answer is going to be AAU, but that is only when the AAU coach or director has college contacts. Same would go for high school coaches. Parents can email the over 1000+ college basketball programs to help.

IQ! Watching film and getting game reps will always help with decision making. Had to play a game 5 on 5 without decent decision making.

Stop Confusing Activity With Development
Just because you're busy doesn't mean you're getting better. Playing games isn't always development. Training isn't always development. Watching highlights isn't always development. Real development is measurable. 📈 Better decision making 📈 Better footwork 📈 Better shooting percentages 📈 Better conditioning 📈 Better basketball IQ 📈 Better habits What's one area of your game you're actively working to improve right now? They Learned It Somewhere
We spend a lot of time talking about what’s wrong with today’s athletes. They’re entitled. They don’t listen. They lack accountability. They quit too easily. But where did they learn those behaviors? Kids don’t do what we tell them. They do what they see. If coaches gossip, trainers attack each other online, directors point fingers, and adults refuse to take accountability, we shouldn’t be surprised when young athletes do the same. Leadership isn’t what we preach.Leadership is what we model. Before we blame the next generation, we need to take a hard look at the example we’re setting. Question:What’s one character trait adults in youth sports need to model better? 👇 Let’s discuss. 👇 Work Ethic… It’s Mandatory. 🏀💪🏽
