Question about old pipes
My house is pretty old and I cringe thinking about the incoming pipes going at some point. Everything is in the foundation so replacing that way would be 'fun'. I've heard repiping older houses some go up through the attic and then down into the walls to the fixtures. Anyone have any thoughts or stories about that? Good or bad? Just curious.

@Ossie Osmond no worries. Yes, I figured it would be pricy. Hoping it doesn't go and I can just ride it out for 40 years lol.

@Ossie Osmond thank you for this. I had no idea. Will definitely think about this more before doing anything.
Some changes in progress over here!
Changed the name and the main focus of the group. But hey you can still ask advice and help with fixes, and I love the core group that has gathered here!

Flooded my entire bedroom by trying to fix external wall faucet leak. Water all in the wall and floor.

@Ossie Osmond yes. I twisted it too much not realizing and didn’t know there was a leak until hours later.
What's your favorite tool!
That tool you can't live without! My favorite is definitely the water pump pliers! Quality is key and my favorite brands are Rothenberger and Super Ego. These pliers, if used right, grips onto anything and gets into tight corners. Without it you will suffer! You need at least two of these in your box! What's your favorite and why?

copper cutter has helped me when I've had to rework pipes for garage water filter system and tankless water heater set up. Does a good job.
