Away for Paternity Leave 👶 (Please Read)

Use of AI in your 9 to 5?
Hi all - I'm just curious about this because I'm looking for full time jobs currently, while still working on my side projects that I hope will take off in the future. Does anyone here have an "office job" where they are using AI to really ramp up their productivity, or at least using AI to plan productivity when they need it? Also, does your employer encourage using AI under the employer's account? I've learned so much in Claude the last few months, and at this point I think it would be irresponsible of me not to use it for whatever my next role is. The problem might be buy in from my employer, but who knows.

I'm self employed but use AI a lot for that work. I've also been looking for regular employment but don't see many jobs that list AI as a required skill (at least where I'm looking). My hunch is that the employers (and their existing employees) that are using AI are not looking to hire at the moment as AI is doing a lot of the work they might've hired for in the past (like when someone leaves or they want to expand their team). While the ones that aren't doing that, don't have AI on their radar so aren't looking to hire people with AI skills. That's just my hunch, based on where I'm looking. I feel like AI has increased people's productivity, so when someone leaves the company, they're not automatically being replaced.

@Ryan Doser I haven't checked the rankings lately but got two leads. I emailed the leads to firms that might be interested and pitch my offer but haven't heard back yet. My niche is very low-tech so I'm not sure how they will respond. How's yours going?

Thanks! It might be overkill for knowledge work but it is better at knowledge work than Opus, in my experience. Fable picks up errors and issues in articles that Opus misses. It's ability to check sources and facts has been pretty revelatory.

It's just after 10pm here in the UK and the attached popped up on my iPad Claude app. PR tactic perhaps, who knows. 😂
