Sunday Check-In
Hola Movers! ๐Ÿ‘‹ I hope you're having a great weekend. A new week is almost here, and it's another opportunity to keep building momentum. Remember, consistency always beats perfection. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Kickstart Day #1 Live โ€” Monday at 1pm PT Tomorrow we'll be kicking off Day #1 of The Comeback Kickstart with a live session. If you haven't started yet, this is the perfect opportunity. If you've already gone through it, you're absolutely welcome to join as well. We'll be reviewing one of the most important foundations: alignment, breathing, and core function. The session will be about 15 minutes, followed by plenty of time for questions, coaching, and troubleshooting. ๐Ÿ“… You'll find the link in the Calendar tab. ๐Ÿ† June Sessions Challenge We're almost at the end of the month! If you haven't updated your June Sessions Challenge, take a minute to do that this week. Every session counts, and it's been great seeing the consistency everyone is building. ๐Ÿ’ฌ Check In Below ๐Ÿ‘‡ How many sessions did you complete this past week? ๐Ÿ‘‡ What days are you planing to train this week? ๐Ÿ‘‡ Will you be joining tomorrow's Kickstart live session? ๐Ÿ‘‡ Any wins, questions, or challenges you'd like to share? Have a great week everyone! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Iโ€™m not sure how many sessions really. I find myself doing free-style again. This week it was mostly with exploring quadruped position. (I didnโ€™t know it was spelled with U!) I found myself doing it one day without really planning to, and really connected with the arms finally. How they can push and pull, especially in the circles. Iโ€™m still doing my side sits, too. Iโ€™ve gotten a little busy, it was a wild week, and I also had to add physical therapy exercises inโ€ฆ turns out whatโ€™s been bugging me in my leg is a nerve. In any case, Iโ€™m into being on the floor several times each day, and really enjoying being there and enjoying moving around and feeling whatโ€™s going on in my body. Maybe Iโ€™ll get back to more routine one of these days, but summer here is short and active and itโ€™s hard to have a schedule. Thatโ€™s my report for this week. Thank you, Rodrigo!

@Rodrigo Gallego thatโ€™s so sweet of you! I will try to attend on Thursday. My pt is having me start with gentle stretches. I think I was aggravating it before by leaning into positions where I could โ€œfeelโ€ it, the nerve, but not in a good way. But hey, when I did my glute release today, it was down from a 9 to a 3 on that side! A big win!
Sunday Check-In
Hola Movers! ๐Ÿ‘‹ I hope you're having a great weekend. Another week is behind us, and another opportunity is here to keep building momentum. Remember, this isn't about being perfect. It's about continuing to show up and stacking small wins over time. A few quality sessions each week can make a huge difference when done consistently. ๐Ÿ”ฅ Plan Your Week Take a minute today to look at your calendar and decide when your sessions will happen this week. Aim for three sessions if possible, and if life gets busy, a few Barefoot Breaks are always better than doing nothing at all. ๐Ÿ† June Sessions Challenge If you haven't updated your June Sessions Challenge recently, take a moment to do that this week. Every session counts, and it's been great seeing the consistency many of you are building. ๐ŸŒฑ New Members (But everybody welcome to go through it) If you joined recently, I'd encourage you to start with The Comeback Kickstart this week. It's a free 5-day mini course designed to help you get moving, build momentum, and start restoring some of the movement foundations your body depends on โ€” all in less than 10 minutes a day. It's the perfect place to begin. ๐ŸŽฅ Live Classes Our live classes are back on the regular schedule this week. The live sessions are included for Premium and VIP members, but if you're new and would like to join Tuesday's Foundations session, let me know in the comments below and I'll share the link with you. Tuesday is our Foundations class, making it a great place to get started, experience a live session, ask questions, and receive coaching. ๐Ÿ’ฌ Check In Below ๐Ÿ‘‡ How many sessions did you complete this past week? ๐Ÿ‘‡ What days are you planning to train this coming week? ๐Ÿ‘‡ Have you started The Comeback Kickstart yet? ๐Ÿ‘‡ Any wins, discoveries, challenges, or questions you'd like to share? Have a great week everyone!

Here is my very LONg check-in. I decided to take the time to answer all of your questions this week! I did part of what I planned for this week, which was to sit in the side2side several times daily and also visit my dead bug daily. I did do the side-sit every single day. Several times. Dead bug, almost daily. ๐Ÿ™Œ This week I will continue with the daily side sit and start doing the CLL2 sessions. I did one yesterday, and I realized that if I donโ€™t keep up on them, some of the movements that I already learned will be lost! Or just not practiced very much. So the sessions, Monday, Wednesday, maybe Thursday, Live? And another one on Friday or Saturday. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Have you started The Comeback Kickstart yet? Yes! I like this as a daily supplement and there are some cues that are helping me on some of the moves. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Any wins, discoveries, challenges, or questions you'd like to share: Iโ€™m not sure if this is a win or a discovery or a challenge. Maybe some of each? What it is: that I want to slow down even more than you want us to! Slow down and notice. ๐Ÿ˜Š Both during the times that Iโ€™m doing the barefoot movements, and also in other parts of my life, especially in my garden. It mostly feels like a win, so I will go with that. (An example: When I was doing the side to side sit daily, this is where I felt like it was definitely a win. On the second or third day I could feel which muscles needed to relax, and they relaxed much sooner each day.) Iโ€™m thinking maybe a good approach for me would be to choose one movement each week to do every day and explore more. Idk.. still finding my way here. Happy Solstice โ˜€๏ธ to anyone who got this far, and enjoy your week!

@Rodrigo Gallego oh good, I thought it was maybe โ€œover-sharing.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜†
๐ŸŽ‰ Day 3 Complete?
Today we explored the Quadruped Breathing Position, one of my favorite ways to restore better alignment and stability. Using this simple primal position and the support of the floor, we can begin improving the relationship between the head, shoulder blades, thorax, and pelvis. As alignment improves, the core muscles are in a much better position to activate and help stabilize the body. This position can also help improve shoulder positioning, stability, and overall body awareness. As you practiced, what did you notice? โ€ข Were you able to find a comfortable alignment? โ€ข Did the breathing feel different compared to Day 1? โ€ข Did any area feel particularly challenging to maintain? โ€ข Did you notice your shoulders, neck, or lower back working differently? Remember, this is both an assessment and a training tool. The goal isn't to hold the position perfectly. The goal is to become more aware of how your body is currently organized while beginning to improve that organization through practice. In future progressions, we'll build on this position by adding movement and eventually hovering the knees while maintaining the same alignment and control. For now, focus on quality, breathing, and awareness. Leave a comment below and let me know: โœ… Completed Day 3 Plus one thing you noticed, learned, or experienced during today's session. I'll be checking the comments and happy to answer any questions. See you tomorrow for Day 4!

Simple but SO MUCH to be aware of!! I am going to check by taking a video. Your visual cue for the sternum was helpful for me.
๐ŸŽ‰ Day 2 Complete?
Today we explored the Log Roll, a simple but powerful movement that helps restore the connection between your upper body and lower body through your core. This is a very primal movement pattern that allows us to both assess and train how well the body is working as one connected system. As you practiced, what did you notice? โ€ข Was rolling from the arms easier or harder than rolling from the legs? โ€ข Did one side feel different than the other? โ€ข Did you notice any areas that felt disconnected or difficult to control? โ€ข Did the movement become smoother with practice? Many people are surprised to discover that one variation or one side feels much easier than the other. That's completely normal and often highlights opportunities to improve coordination and connection. Remember, the goal isn't to perform the movement perfectly. The goal is to become more aware of your current starting point while beginning to train these important connections at the same time. Leave a comment below and let me know: โœ… Completed Day 2 Plus one thing you noticed, learned, or experienced during today's session. I'll be checking the comments and happy to answer any questions. See you tomorrow for Day 3!

@Rodrigo Gallego I knew you were gonna ask me that! ๐Ÿคฃ The arms are easy both ways. But the legs are getting easier as well. Like I say, I was having too much fun to get too detailed. Iโ€™ll pay more attention next time!!

I will add, though, when I went for a walk this evening, I was very focused on my movement, and my stacked position. I can feel myself walking differently.

New month. Fresh start. Another opportunity to build momentum. And if you've been meaning to get started, June is the perfect time. Remember: This challenge is not about perfection. @Rodrigo Gallego yes it felt good, what do you mean to build stability there? Just sit in that posture more often?
