Planned Together August cohort is halfway through!
Just a quick update on the Your Business Book: Planned Together programme currently running throughout August. We start Week 3 of 4 today, and I couldn't be prouder of the group. We've looked at the writer's mindset and how to come off (and stay off) the blank page; beating procrastination and 'block'; working out our why; pinning down our ideal reader and finding what they really want (and need) to hear from us. We've taken our initial ideas and used a really effective exercise to expand and dig deep into them. We've visualised our books from cover to cover, and pre-empted the feelings we'll have when we unpack that first author copy from the printer (another powerful exercise). We're structuring our book - in sections, chapters and sub-chapters - and building on those first 2 weeks to begin to create containers for our content. And we're only halfway through! New cohort begins Monday 7th September - comment or DM me for details or take a look here: https://www.writeyourbusinessbook.com/planned-together

@Rachel Harmsworth, It has been a fantastic experience so far. As a business owner who has never written a book, it felt a little daunting at the start. Did I have enough for a book? Could I actually write one? And, quite honestly, how do you even write a book?! The process Rachel uses throughout the course makes it feel surprisingly straightforward. Once we have filled our “containers”, we will have a fully structured book, broken down into very achievable chunks of writing. The support has been fantastic too. The group sessions, the Q&A later in the week and my 1 to1 with Rachel this week have really helped bring everything from the previous weeks together. If you’re thinking about writing a business book but wondering, “Can I really do this?” or “Where will I find the time?”, I’d definitely encourage you to chat with Rachel and consider joining the next course.
