Software Engineer (ColdFusion if anyone remembers that oldie) and DevOps... At work I make all the strange noises (WTF! (@#&$@#*$), at home the computer does LOL
WHAT DAW ARE YOU USING AND WHY? 🎶
Seeing as the last time we did this we only had about 100 members, let's get an update! What DAW are you mainly using these days and what about it has captured your heart? (Last time Bitwig was the big winner...) Vote below and leave a comment below briefly explaining why you use that DAW.

Linux support was the big draw for me, as well as a log of decent built in instruments so I wouldn't have to rely on VSTs etc.
How I Overcame Perfectionism
I just uploaded a new video sharing my personal journey through the ups and downs of perfectionism in music production. If you guys have struggled with any of this, what has helped you? Perfectionism can feel like a trap, keeping you stuck in an endless loop of self-doubt and unfinished projects. In this video, I share my unfiltered journey from making crappy covers of Akon songs on my mothers work laptop as a teenager to achieving 70 million streams. Along the way, I faced the challenges of creative paralysis, industry pressures, and tutorial hell - but I found a way to break free and reconnect with the true spirit of music. If you’re a musician or creative who feels stuck, this is for you. Let me show you how I overcame the perfectionism that was holding me back and reclaimed my passion for making art.

Remember - once you achieve perfection (as I have) it's then all downhill from there LOL As I get older I find it matters less and less. You learn that regardless of what you do be it music, art, whatever - there will always be someone better than you, and there will be someone better than that person, and on and on. I've heard several artists say - make (whatever) for yourself and if other people like it - well that's a bonus.
In Kind - Folk
Starts out as a small but driving solo guitar ostinato and evolves into a massive orchestral arrangement. Everything is played live and acoustic by me, except the upright bass by the incomparable Zach Moses Ostroff :)

Love the Bixby on the Tele
Hello
Been tinkering with music for a long time. PortaStudio (early 80s), Cakewalk (early 90s), married, kids, life (2000s). Love the guitar, and love the process of making noises with computers. Now back to tinkering w/Bitwig.
