Spirits
Let's talk ghosts! Do you believe in them? Why do we find stories about spirits from every culture around the world? Do you think spirits of the deceased are different than other kinds of spirits? Have you ever had a ghostly encounter? What was THAT like? Why are so many ghosts Victorian and not from more modern times? Why do you think some places are more "haunted" than others? I have my thoughts on all these topics, but want to hear yours first!

@Tracy Nicholas I was talking to Dr. Rita Louise (if you haven't interviewed her I'd really like to connect you two) She was sharing about her "ghost" experience as her husband was dying. All of my "ghost" experiences have to do with dreams not so much IRL encounters - like yours!!

@Tracy Nicholas that's me ... the joy bringer LOL
St. Brigid's scarf
Forgot to set out your scarf for St. Brigid to bless last night? That's ok - there are different opinions on the right day to set it out, so feel free to put it on your windowsill tonight - or tomorrow! White is traditional, but I don't think a goddess cares to much about that sort of thing - I put out the ones I wear the most, so the blessings will travel with me!

@Tracy Nicholas oh that's so exciting.
Podcast ads
I have recently gotten to a place where I can run ads on my podcast through my host. The problem is that it pays very little and they only allow midroll ads. There are a couple of advertisers that fit my mission perfectly, but interrupting an episode seems to high a price to pay. I would be totally open to pre- or post- roll, but I cannot get those through my host. What are your thoughts on ads in the middle of an episode?

you can totally do your own promotion of your own thing in the opening and the closing - I do it for every episode - the key is to have an easy memorable url (I've actually had to use 4 of them because of the way I spell coachslchemist.com usually it show up as coachesalchmist.com (it's hyphenated but coaches is spelled with an e haver the h) I also have both versions with the in front. I promote it to both my guest and the listeners that way. Not really an in the middle of the roll answer. I just make it part of my opening presentation.
Folkloring Friday
Have you been folkloring lately? Have you lit a candle and thought of your ancestors? Have you thought about liminality when walking down the hall? Did you spend any time in community (especially here on Skool)? All of that is folkloring. Let me know what you have done lately. Here is a fun one for me - I got together with my circle and consecrated a talisman. Also, a not so fun one: I baked sourdough bread, and BOY did I mess it up. I got the hydration levels wrong because I accidentally used a 1/2 whole wheat recipe while using full white flour. Oops - not to be deterred - sought out knowledge from the interwebs and ended up making delicious bread crumbs that I will use this weekend. Thank you to those who post frugal food saving recipes - I connected with you and your knowledge this week!

oh I'm feeling your struggle @Tracy Nicholas I've been experimenting with creating sourdough down here in AZ - While I'm really great at it at home - here I suck. LOL, I think it might be that I spray water in my oven at home and have been trying to do the ice cube thing here but it's just not enough fast enough. I'm not even going to share an image of the poor loaves created here. But I started to answer you here because I had a magical thing happen to me this morning - I wanted to do an art assignment from another community I'm part of - but have been struggling with what to do. This morning I woke up with it totally downloaded. Could be the waxing moon in pisces or the candle and intention set each morning. Something is working that's for sure.
