“Anyone else start liking drawing more as you get older?” 😄
“Anyone else start liking drawing more as you get older?” 😄 Feels like almost everyone drew as a kid. Random doodles in notebooks, little houses, sunsets, mountains, rivers, and messy stick figures everywhere. Back then nobody cared about skill or whether it looked good. Drawing was just fun. But after growing up, a lot of people slowly stopped. Life gets busy. Work, stress, responsibilities… even the time to casually sketch a few lines disappears. Lately though, I’ve realized there really aren’t many things that can make people truly slow down anymore. And drawing is one of the rare things that helps you temporarily disconnect from your phone, anxiety, and all the noise outside. Sometimes just sitting quietly with paper and a pencil for 30 minutes feels incredibly relaxing. You don’t need to be professional either. Some people like watercolor, some like sketching, and some just enjoy doodling randomly. I honestly love seeing different people’s artwork. Some drawings carry emotions. Some feel like they’re telling a story. And some may not be technically perfect, but they feel very real and personal. I think a lot of adults getting back into drawing now aren’t doing it for school or careers anymore. It’s more like emotional therapy. Or a way to spend time with yourself. Sometimes I feel people who still love drawing probably still have a small soft part inside that reality hasn’t completely flattened yet. Curious about everyone here: Do you still draw now? How did you first get into it? And is there a drawing you could never bring yourself to throw away? 🎨
