📊 Be honest… what actually gets you to COMMENT in a Skool community?
Because sometimes we post a thoughtful 7-paragraph masterpiece… (like me!! I have a hard time being short at times) …and get 1 like, and a cricket chirping in the distance. 🦗😂 So let’s reverse-engineer engagement. What usually gets YOU to stop scrolling and join the conversation? - A question I can answer quickly - A poll because clicking feels easier than thinking 😅 - A relatable story - A challenge or prompt - Someone tags me - A topic I have VERY strong opinions about 👀 Something to consider... 👉 People engage when the invitation to participate feels easy and clear. Instead of only asking yourself, “What should I post today?” Try asking: “What would make this ridiculously easy for my members to respond to and engage with me?” 👇 Vote below and tell us in the comments: What type of post almost always gets you to respond?

The tagging thing can but I hate, despise and detest when someone takes one of those tools, tags everyone or a big block where I am tagged in it as a mass list... click it thinking there might be something there for me and it sends me to a block of names... with the thread or post above or wherever it is. I leave groups over this and almost never read the post as soon as I see all the names next to each other. I know that a community leader wants engagement and wants everyone to see it but in general I'm already following the community leader unless I unfollow them specifically so I see new posts, so I'll get a notification for the new post plus one for the tag that is them trying to get around not having an @everyone tag to use. I hope that it is used sparingly... Notifications are overwhelming as it is. Otherwise, it depends on my mood really. For me there's no solid answer because it could be all of the above.

@Carolina Velis Psychologically speaking when I see a mass tag list I knee-jerk feel like it isn't really meant for me, it's meant for the masses. When someone tags me I think... "hey a post for me" but the mass tag is almost a let down. I know it isn't, it is meant for me but when I see a personalized tag I think it's a more personal invitation. Like when you use it to highlight VIP's and things that are meant for me.... because I like you and know you I don't think of you using it the same way as someone I don't know. Skool really should if they were listening try to find a way to do an @ everyone tag. Then I am aware of what I'm clicking into. I'm sure some agree and some don't. As far as how to bring people into larger coversations? I'm probably more laid back than you'd like and won't have an answer that appeals to you. 😄 The community vibe I go for is real connection, whether it's with me, themselves or each other. So all of my options are directly trying to create that whether it is a poll, or a bigger talk. I post and put forward what I can and honestly? I then let what happens happen. Not everything appeals to people and even if it does they might not speak up and I am firmly of the belief... that's ok. I don't place expectation on my people even though in a strange way because they are in a community then you could say there is one. Why be in one if you don't participate? But they are, even if they don't say a word. I love me a good conversation, and I obviously have no problem with long posts etc. My community is a doorway, I love hearing from my people and hopefully they stick around, my community is part of my business but it isn't my business... it's a service of my business. When larger conversations happen it fuels that. Having a variety of posts from the larger conversations to the smaller ones with just a click of a poll helps keep things from getting too heavy. It's an eco-system and has a hierarchy... sometimes I have a bigger impact than I realize. Like when a member says, "you inspired me to do such and such because I saw you do it,"
How I Plan My Skool Posts For Reach & Impact
Ok... I said I wasn't going to pre-schedule my Skool posts, cause authentic engagement is SUPER DUPER IMPORTANT! BUT... life be lifein,' and I need help to manage a growing business. Thanks to the spectacular @Ronda Del Boccio (join her community - my aff link) - my Skool life is becoming much less complicated as I'm building out my first full month of Skool posts for Business Astrology Hub using SkoolKit. Yay! Figured I would share how I plan my content with you all, and what I've learned that works for me and my community... You need to figure out your own style, path, and metrics of what matters to YOU. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 & 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 First thing I do... what is happening in the skies? If that's not your thing, then move along. If it is your thing, consider the lunar cycles for post ideas. ✅ Gather your calendar of recurring and upcoming events - create posts for each, and make sure to utilize the email function for key events! ✅ Add your themed posts --> what do you have that creates consistency or recognizable posts that allow for easy, quick engagement? ex: I do biweeklyish Oracle card drawings. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀; 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: ✅ Affiliate promotions? Yes, please! Sprinkle throughout and share your POV on why it rocks. For example: this week I shared my friend's AEO blogging membership in Business Astrology Hub. Why? Because many people in my community are creating content, and they need to know how to do it! Psst. If you have a public Skool, SEO/AEO is important for you too. ✅ Teaching posts - Answer the key questions your audience is asking... use your onboarding questions to inform this process. Ideally, you have your own ICP (ideal customer profile) that informs what you create and teach about.

High Ticket Sales & Skool
In another group I found a video about something that happened to a Skool community owner who was using their community for high ticket sales. I thought I'd share it since it could have a serious impact on how you run your Skool. For those who have thought of using Skool for high ticket and with the new growth boost things it could impact your earnings because Skool uses last touch attribution for referrals and things. - Last touch attribution means traffic you brought in yourself can be tagged as a Skool discovery the moment someone searches your name on the platform - On low ticket, that's small. On high ticket, it's hundreds of dollars gone from a sale you generated Because turning off growth boost you get penalized substantially in search it is not something small. The person in the video lost $300 off of a $1000 sale because of how Skool is calculating the referral. Here's the video if you want to watch it Within it he says that Skool's answer to his/this problem is to take high ticket off of the platform & gives what he's going to do moving forward I believe, I only watched about half of it since I wasn't going to put any of my higher ticket things on Skool to begin with.
Making hard choices
I've been thinking about how to best serve you all and find a balance with my own energy, drive and business... it's hard cause on one hand I want to make sure I'm available to help, but yet, on the other, I have many commitments that need my attention. So I made the call today to consolidate my energy, and start holding monthly free calls with the larger community here inside Skool Growth, and remove the biweekly rhythm. For me, this is part of owning a business, you have to decide where am I truly needed, and where can I best serve? You know? While we're in Mercury Retrograde, I hope you're also reconsidering where to place your energy and intentions so you can so growth and not stagnation, distraction or burnout. Tell me in the comments, what are you shifting in your business?
