@Rennara Maryelle Vitale Azevedo @Leyla Karimova @Sarah Lee I was just sharing this perspective on relationships with Leyla yesterday, and seeing your post made me feel like it might be helpful to share here as well. The biggest shift for me has been adopting more of a “Queen mentality” in relationships—meaning I position myself from sovereignty rather than from a need for validation. I think where many of us get caught is that we start centering the relationship itself—being chosen, being loved, moving toward commitment or marriage—as if that outcome is the measure of our value. Our nervous systems can be so conditioned to seek that validation that we don’t even realize how much we’ve given away our center. But the truth is, we can desire love and commitment deeply and still not control the outcome. There are no guarantees. The “Queen mentality” isn’t about detachment—it’s about perspective. Jealousy often comes from making the relationship the throne instead of sitting on your own throne. It’s seeing your life as the empire, and the relationship as one province within it, not the whole foundation. So instead of asking “Does he love me?” the question becomes “Does this relationship enrich my life? What value does he bring to me?” That can look like many things—stability, intimacy, growth, connection, exposure, refinement, support. Not in a transactional sense, and not as a performance—but in the sense that a relationship should be additive to your life, not something that pulls you into anxiety, comparison, or self-abandonment. When I come back to that bigger picture, jealousy softens. It becomes less about other women or external threats, and more about staying rooted in my own value and direction.
