Hi Mark, Thanks so much for getting back to me, appreciate it! I actually just booked a 7 week stage one acting course through Toni Higginbotham this evening! It’s an acting workshop which you will learn what it is that gets actors booked with her and other casting directors with their self tapes and auditions, how to treat every scene from learning lines to cutting a finished tape. How to come up with unique, meaningful choices through story structure and how to audition via self-tapes and zoom. The course will be conducted by drama teacher Bede Smith, while Toni will be attending to ask any questions throughout the 7 weeks as well she mentioned via email. I did also speak to Bede the drama teacher over the phone before booking to confirm it is definitely a beginners course and note commercial acting is my preference without too much speaking. He confirmed the course is a beginners to help build up confidence with written scenes to practice and learn with his guidance and can cater/keep in mind my focus on commercial type acting. I did actually refer back to your list under the training module, at first worried you didn’t note Toni’s name on the list, yet after thinking it through, doing my research and also remembering her name from casting networks roles that regularly come through to my email I decided to just take the chance and book it anyway. Glad to hear you mention her name, confirming a safe and good choice. Excited and nervous to start the process! I’ll definitely look into the single day workshops with the other casting directors you’ve mentioned after getting the experience and confidence from this 7 week self testing workshop first! Good to know it didn't have anything to do with my filter settings for my search results and more just a broad list of jobs posted that yes aren't much importance or interest to me. Yes since upgrading to Premium I did recently secure a great role I applied for through my agent on CN. I'm not sure if it was just a coincident selecting me from only my application photos and self tape, yet definitely worked in my favour for the timing anyway. Yes I remember you mentioning that in one of your training videos about the submission report, thank you for the reminder I might actually ask for that, would be good to see what and how much I've been put forward for. That definitely helps and covers it all, thank you so much!
