@Benjamin Hurst Hey Ben!! Nice to meet you. Essentially it's knowing the Lender qualifications for each product so you don't waste time trying to squeeze a drop out of a dry lemon. Time is your most valuable commodity that YOU have direct control over. Discerning what is and what is NOT a fundible deal is critical to your time management and overall success. I learned this after wasting so much time trying to find a path to funding for borrowers who either had a pipe dream (unrealistic expectations of funding) or just were not positioned to even get a "soft yes". Some clients may be close to being qualified and you knowing how to help them get qualified would be another crucial skillset to have. (ie: credit restoration, credit limit utilization, etc)This is where expanding your network comes into play. I have developed a vast network of lenders and brokers for any deal that comes my way. Often times i may need to partner up with a broker if either i am in over my head or do not have the stretch to get it done myself, yet. I dont bite more than i can chew as it can get messy real quick and proves less effective. Choose a lane in funding until you have it down packed...then expand your product offering. We specialize in Real Estate and many in our community know this and know to come to us for help. We also fund personal & Businesses. We have a network of affiliates all over the country that bring us deals. This is something you should consider offering especially when you first starting out. Does all this make sense?
