Art madness
Let’s break the ice and get to know each other. I’m Amanda and I started this group to connect with like minded creatives. Let’s show our worst piece of artwork you’ve made, the one piece that never got out of the studio or you may have somewhere hidden. I have loads, which one to choose? Lets allow our worst painting to be shown so confirm we don’t have to be perfect and to relax with judgement here, because creating is our connect to source and our truth. So be brave guys, we can do this , just fun and friends here. Heres my worst painting.....

The Language of Colour
"Colour is the language of emotion. Before we notice the subject of a painting, our hearts often respond to its colours. They have the quiet power to soothe, energise, inspire and remind us that even the darkest days can still hold light."

“The Magic of Making Something That Didn't Exist Before
🌱 1. Creativity is part of being human You could explore the idea that creativity isn't something reserved for “artists.” Humans have always created—cave paintings, music, stories, clothing, buildings, tools, gardens, recipes. Key thought: Creativity isn't a special talent given to a lucky few. It is part of our natural human instinct to explore, imagine and make something new. That would fit beautifully with encouraging beginners who think, “I'm just not creative.” 🎨 2. We don't just copy the world — we interpret it This is particularly relevant to painting. A camera records what is there. An artist decides what matters. Two people can stand in front of exactly the same tree, yet create completely different paintings because each sees something different—light, mood, memories, colour, movement or emotion. I could ask my students: - What do you notice first? - What does this scene make you feel? - What would you exaggerate? - What would you leave out? - If this scene had a personality, what would it be? That helps them understand that art isn't about reproducing reality perfectly; it's about communicating your experience of it. 💡 3. The imagination is a powerful tool Humans can imagine something that doesn't yet exist and then bring it into reality. A painting begins as an almost invisible idea in someone's mind. So does a house, a garden, a business, a book, a sculpture or an invention. You could make the connection: Imagine → explore → experiment → create → refine → share That's an incredible human ability. 🧠 4. Creativity teaches us how to think Art isn't just about making something pretty. It involves constant little decisions. "What happens if I put this colour here?" "What if I make the tree bigger?" "That doesn't work—I'll try something else." In that sense, creating teaches problem solving, curiosity, observation and resilience. And importantly, mistakes become information rather than failure. . 🌈 5. There is no single “right” way to create You could talk about how creativity flourishes when we stop worrying about getting everything “right.”
