Canvas Printing and Photo Quality
I have a photo I would like to print on a canvas and hang in my house. Challenge...It was taken on a phone so I'm not sure what the quality will be like if I print it at A1 size on canvas. Any suggestions on what I should look for in the photo properties to tell me if I can print or if I am wasting my money? I included the metadata for this photo from LrC. Not sure if this helps at all.

@Natalie Dawson There are many online professional print companies where you can select the size print you want and what you want it printed on and the system then informs you on whether it will work or not with suggestions. You’ll probably need to make an account but most of them you don’t need a paid subscription for so you can then just use the tool…

@Natalie Dawson Please let us know how it came out. Even if it didn't work out like you wanted to. We will work on fixing it.
Euro-trip!
Hi all, I'm currently out on a school summer vacation with the family so my activity on Skool will be a little sporadic. I created the anti-postcard checklist because I often found myself in places taking photo's of scenes or subjects that, if timed correctly, looked great but at the same time felt like all the other photos so I began asking myself questions like "what else is here?" or "this is really cool but it feels a bit like the same stuff, how can I change it?" and "I feel a little stuck, how do I loosen up?" and when I could answer these questions my photos began to look and feel a bit more personal, maybe not technically perfect, or the most optimal positioning of the camera to catch the best possible light etc, but personal, the pics i will print out or create a photo album with for friends and family to page through in the comfort of a couch at home...the first bunch can go on social media because they're "technically" the best ones...but often a little lifeless...So the checklist was born, to help as a reference when out on vacation, overwhelmed by the new place you're in or the sudden change in itinerary due to weather etc...and I've now used it a few times to help with some inspiration when it came pouring down in Plitvice nature reserve and I panicked a little that I won't get a single nice photo, or in Berchtesgaden when the boat turned differently to what I expected, so it works!...and now I find myself in Belgrade, Serbia....the sights, sounds and smells are extremely overwhelming...my first impressions of the city are old Communism meets new Democracy with a healthy dose of chaocracy (a society that functions because of the chaos lol)...STAY TUNED!

START HERE! Introduce Yourself: Where Are You Going Next?
Let’s keep introductions easy 😁 Reply with: 1. Where you live? 🏘️ 2. Where you’re travelling next?🛫 3. What is a "bucket list" destination for you? 🤩 Example: “I’m Jeroen, based in Belgium. My next trip is Bruges. I would love to travel to TOKYO. I tend to just take a photo of a place or event, to make sure i can say that I've been there but then I'm often disappointed with the photo and don't show it to anybody ” No pressure. No judging. 4. @Nemanja Sumar Denmark is in for a shout on my side!!! But Greece is like a cheat place, you don't even have to open your eyes when you take a photo, you just point somewhere and shoot...unless you snap a shot of your feet, don't do that...or do? it would certainly be an anti-postcard shot 😂....So why Macchu Picchu?

@Fabiola Luciani thank you for the excellent introduction! Sharing your images on social media is very daunting! This is because anyone and everyone can say whatever they want at whatever time of day…so if they’re in a bad mood and getting ready for bed after they had a fight with their spouse and the son scratched the car…I’m pretty sure their comment will be heavily influenced. That’s why I wanted to start this group, where everyone who’s here, enjoys photography, loves to travel and wants to have some fun improving their photos of their travels….and then not necessarily posting on Instagram or Facebook… but here for us all to work together and help improve them…and then…only to family and friends if you want. Like in a photo album or some prints or for one of those cool digital frames even. Switzerland! In the summer or winter must be spectacular! I have been there skiing but many many years ago. I wouldn’t even know where some of those photos are anymore 🤣

Belgrade!
One of my spots this summer is Belgrade, Serbia. I think this place on its own is not on a postcard list…when we talk about the “usual” spots like Yosemite, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Sydney etc. So I have built a shot list that could be useful. If anyone has been to Belgrade, feel free to comment. All these shot lists will be made available for all founder members and I’ll update them when needed based on our community’s experiences. @Nemanja Sumar since you live there, it would be great to hear your opinion! @Roman Kalousek have you been to Belgrade?

@Nemanja Sumar There are so many spots to choose from. I think it's probably best to pick out the best single spot per day, have another one that's less dependent on sunrise or sunset and then maybe just put the camera away. for anyone reading this post, don't forget your anti-postcard checklist! I have reviewed and tested it a few times now and it really helps you have fun looking for the less obvious photo.
