Commitment to Self
Truly falling in love with our own energy and giving to ourselves, as opposed to seeking love, care or attention from others can have a tremendous positive impact not only how we feel, but also on how we are received. Even subtle shift in our morning routine, such as meditation, reading, or taking a walk, before scrolling social media or rushing off into the day allows us to be more present not only for ourselves but for others in our lives. I challenge you to consider & commit to 1-3 ways in which you are going to show up for yourself daily for the next 30 days. Share in the comments… let’s inspire one another!

I love this challenge. Over the past 10 months, I’ve learned that showing up for myself has changed not only my body but also my mindset. For the next 30 days, I commit to moving my body every day, even if it’s just a walk. I commit to spending time with God before the distractions of the day. I also commit to connecting with my Mighty Caregivers community by personally getting in touch with them and having a conversation because we all need encouragement. I’ve discovered that caring for myself isn’t selfish. It allows me to care for others with more energy, patience, and joy.
10 Practices for a Peaceful and Powerful Life
This week on Coffee Chat, my friend Maria , one of my Mighty Caregivers who helps me with my self-care, shared 10 practices for a peaceful and powerful life. A few really stood out to me. I want to start each morning by taking a few moments for myself, naming three things I am grateful for, and identifying three things I want to accomplish that day. The advice that resonated most was to protect my peace with healthy boundaries and be intentional about what is truly important. I also want to end each day by reflecting on what I am grateful for and paying more attention to my sleep habits. Small daily practices can make a big difference in how we care for ourselves. Thank you, Maria, for the encouragement and wisdom. I listen to my friend every week for my self-care. I am inviting you to take a few moments to listen. @Dana Renee Hello everyone, I’m Jeremy, and I’m glad to be here. I’m a caregiver, and much of my life is centered around helping others. Through my ministry, Mighty Caregivers, I share how I care for myself so I can care for others. Over the past year, I’ve been focusing on five pillars of self care: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and connections. That journey has helped me lose 55 pounds and, more importantly, become more intentional about my well being. What drew me to this community is the belief that healing and growth happen in relationship with others. I’m always looking for ways to learn, grow, and connect with people who are doing the inner work of becoming healthier and more whole. I look forward to learning from each of you and walking alongside you on the journey.
