Want your CU in the news? Here are some ideas!
Spanish Language Day is coming up. Is your CU expanding or have bilingual services? Celebrate it and talk about how you're helping. For many Spanish-speaking households, language remains a barrier to fully participating in the financial system, especially as costs continue to rise across the region. This initiative is designed to meet people where they are, with culturally relevant, easy-to-understand guidance that can make an immediate impact. Kids Get Hands-On Money Lessons for “Teach Children to Save Day” (April 23) - Piggy banks, play dollars, and real-life lessons — is your CU doing anything for this day (tomorrow!). April marks National Social Security Month - what can you talk about for this? You can tell your local news: Local financial experts are available to share practical, easy-to-follow tips on how seniors can maximize their benefits, from timing when to claim, to minimizing taxes, budgeting effectively, and avoiding costly mistakes. We'd be happy to schedule an interview to provide peace of mind for seniors and their families navigating retirement in an increasingly uncertain financial landscape. Thoughts? Let's get the convo rolling!!!!

Get Media Coverage GPT
Hi everyone - I want to show you something we built that I think will actually be useful for you. One of the biggest misconceptions about media coverage is that it’s about having a great story. It’s not. It’s about how that story is positioned. I can’t tell you how many times we see organizations doing really meaningful work… and it’s just not getting picked up. Not because it’s not important—but because it’s not framed in a way media actually cares about. So we built a tool to show you what that difference looks like. It’s called Get Media Coverage GPT. You can put in what you’re working on—an event, an announcement, a program, whatever—and it will turn it into: - a real media angle - headline ideas - a sample pitch - and honestly, whether it’s strong enough to get coverage at all The reason I like this for you is because it gives you a gut check. Before you spend time pitching something… you can see:👉 is this actually a story?👉 or does it need to be reframed? And that alone will save you a lot of time. So I’ll drop the link in here --> https://chatgpt.com/g/g-69c42e12c9e881919b7fe927bae545e2-get-media-coverage-gpt If you want, run something through it this week. And if you’re not sure about what it gives you back, bring it to the next session—we can workshop it together.
