For me - most home refrigerators don't have a thermometer that you can check the temperature! Blindly trusting the food is being stored at the right temperature can be dangerous! Adding the thermometer to the refrigerator is really the pro tip in this conversation. It also will give you piece of mind knowing your refrigerator is operating at the correct temperature range. My unit does not show me a temperature - There's four bars that range from cold to coldest! It's summer here in the United States - time for picnics, days at the lake, river, or ocean - keeping food old is hard this time of year. Traveling with ice packs and bags of ice in a cooler or even having a cooler that operates plugged into your vehicle is great.

Happy Monday from vacation — where my kitchen adventures have been a little quieter than usual this weekend. 😄 I am still recovering from a bicycle accident that slowed me down more than I expected — but if you know me at all, you know that a little rest does not keep me away from my recipes for long. This weekend I have been tucked in rewriting recipes — and one of them has me really excited. Swedish pink cookies. A family recipe that has been around our table for a long time and is getting a fresh look before it makes its way to yours. More on that very soon. 💛 Now tell me — what is on your table this Monday?
