I'm new here and don't yet have anything to add. However, my staff and I are LOVING what you have so far. The protocols are SUPER helpful and our clients are enjoying the activities. I'm so happy I found this page.

I am in the process of adding additional resources to the "classroom" - I need to know if the protocols are helpful, if they need to be adjusted or if you PREFER to have the activity ready to print with no protocol and decide how to run the activity yourself?

I LOVE them! Please keep the protocol with the ready to print activities.
Introduction
Hello! My name is Jennifer Sorenson and I am the Day Support Activity Director for a non-profit that serves adults with intellectual disabilities. I retired last June from public education where I served as a behavior specialist for 10 years. Prior to that I was a classroom teacher for 22 years. I joined this group as I am new in this field and have been desperately searching for resources to keep things fresh. I am so excited to be here and look forward to connecting with everyone.
March Observances & Activities Pay 2
March 19 – Let’s Laugh Day Host a joke-sharing social where participants take turns reading or telling simple jokes. You can even set it up speed-dating style so everyone shares with multiple partners. March 20 – First Day of Spring Create a spring sensory table with faux flowers, textured fabrics, and seasonal scents. Invite participants to share what spring means to them or favorite spring memories. March 27 – National Scribble Day Create a large collaborative doodle poster where each participant adds something to the drawing. Display the finished artwork in a common area. March 30 – Take a Walk in the Park Day Organize a courtyard walk or simple outing if possible. If not, bring the outdoors inside with nature videos, bird sounds, or a seated “scenic walk” discussion group. March is National Puzzle Month Set up a large group puzzle that participants can work on throughout the week. Encourage teamwork and conversation while building it together.
