@Karin Enders I don't order my physical copies from Amazon. I'm trying to remember if I've seen any but I think most of them have been through book vault or Ingram sparks. I've seen some look pretty vibrant from other authors. (I haven't been able to decide on a design yet.)

@Jessica Disciacca I was playing around with it just to learn the website (I haven't decided on a design yet) and the interface was easy to use. Since I used it last, they've updated to make it easier to add a wrap around cover to see the entire book design in 3D. From what I remember, solid colors are free to download and a graphic design on the side pages is only $20.
🖤✨ Get to Know Me + Introduce Yourself
Hi everyone, and welcome—I am so truly glad you’re here. 🖤 I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and also invite you to share your story, because this space is not just about learning—it’s about connection, growth, and building something meaningful together. My name is Jessica Ann Disciacca, and I’m a dark fantasy author, world-builder, and the co-founder of Dark Flame Society, where I create immersive literary events and opportunities that support authors, artists, and creatives. My writing journey began back in high school, but I officially wrote my first book in 2019 called The Morn Series. That first draft came in at over 350,000 words (yes… it was a lot 😅), and I remember feeling completely overwhelmed by the editing process. Instead of pushing through, I set it aside and started something new—Awakening the Dark Throne. I wrote that book in just two weeks, and in 2024 it was picked up by a publisher. While that experience taught me so much, I quickly realized that traditional publishing—at least with certain publishers—wasn’t the right fit for me. That’s when I fully stepped into the indie author world. From there, I dove in completely. I took classes, studied everything I could, learned through trial and error, and built my process from the ground up. My first year, I published four books. My second year, two more—and this year, I’m publishing my seventh. Now, my passion is helping other authors navigate this journey with more clarity, confidence, and support than I had in the beginning. Through my books, events, and communities like this one, my goal is simple:👉 to help you grow, be seen, and succeed as an author. ✨ Now it’s your turn… I would love to get to know you! Drop a comment below and share: 📖 What are you currently working on? ✍️ Are you writing your first book or have you already published? 🔥 What genre do you write in? 🎯 What is your biggest goal as an author right now? 💭 What is one thing you’re currently struggling with or want to learn?

Hello! I'm Jennifer and happy to be here 💞 I write fantasy romance/romantasy/fantasy. My first book, To Break A Curse, it out now and a Beauty and the Beast retelling as well as the first in an interconnected episodic series of fairy tale retellings combining Grimm's fairy tales with the whimsy of Disney. I'm been writing since I was in middle school (a very long time ago 😂) And have finished several books/short stories in that time but only recently decided to publish anything. I studied creative writing in college and take every opportunity to learn more! Something fun about me is... I pick up new hobbies regularly and learn everything I can about them and then switch to a brand new one 😂 so I know a lot about different things. I'm excited for this! And can't wait to learn more.
