A Bitter/Sweet Time | Keep Going No Matter How Fast Or Slow | Don't Stop!!
It's been a bitter/sweet few days to say the least. The day before I flew to Kentucky to execute a now-successful poetry event for a client, I received a phone call informing me that my father, Bruce Jenkins Jr., was in the hospital here in Maryland and was in pretty bad shape, but stable. I flew out to Kentucky the next day (Friday) praying he'd still be with us when I returned. I made sure this was a very short trip (24hrs) so I could also see my 3 daughters perform in the Easter Sunday play at my home church, New Samaritan Baptist Church. I flew back on the earliest flight possible on Easter Sunday and got the chance to experience their brewing-greatness. However, shortly thereafter, I received a call from the hospital saying my father took a turn for the worse and we needed to make our way there. It would be our last chance. Fortunately, we got the opportunity to see him one last time, but, unfortunately, he passed away that evening. Although grieving, we've begun the homegoing planning process the next day (yesterday, Monday), but today is also my youngest daughter's 8th birthday. We've yet to tell the girls to shield them from having to deal with the rollercoaster of emotions we're dealing with at the moment given the two happy occasions I just mentioned just occurred and is currently occurring. We'll break it to them this coming weekend. While helping to plan the funeral, I'm also in the final planning stages of 2 back-to-back poetry events; one at South Carolina State University on this Thursday and the other here in DC at Howard University on Friday. Needless to say, I'm in a challenging place mentally, emotionally, and logistically. Usually, I don't post detailed posts like this; especially about the death of a loved one, but I thought it'd be, feel, and look weird (somewhat inappropriate) for me to continue enthusiastically posting and promoting about my events in a couple of days without sharing/mentioning the passing of my father. While I'm working my business, I'm also working through all of what I'm feeling. I'm ok... and I'll be ok. I just appreciate all of the condolences and support for our family during this tough time. Just know we are comforted in knowing that our earthly father is home with our heavenly Father... so all is well. Thank you all!

Your perception and approach is valid. Now you can continue to do as you feel and need without much awkward engagement. During these times, less is more. You know where we are if you need to get all the way away. If you need to delegate, we are here too. I don't know about coming back to America, but I'll consider Howard! Love you. Love y'all.
What Are Your Thoughts On Partnering With Other Companies?
Partnerships: Individual artists may struggle to build strategic partnerships, limiting their growth potential. Businesses, on the other hand, actively seek partnerships to expand their reach and influence. What are your thoughts on this statement?

I think this thought is somewhere in the classroom theory and I think it's a big reason we are becoming an entity instead of a pop-up open mic talent. I can't wait to partner where I live now. It will be a game changer for getting residency, meeting people, getting adjusted to new life, experiencing more of the culture and freely uncovering more of the themes behind why m my spirit guides sent the babies and I to central america. It's much easier to explore and discover things when there's more economic flow, if you know what I mean

Great challenge. Video isn't uploading great. Most of my pretty is existential questions of existence tied to mundanity. Holographic universe and big themes like one comparing domestic abuse to the abusive nature of hip hop. I'd love to connect with communities like: expats, groups learning Black History (especially non Black communities), vegan communities, athiest church, political groups like ones who might be somewhat in the fringe.

Business Name Brainstorm
Bold Family Productions That's what I'm thinking I'm not attached to my name and it feels weird to put my name on it since this is the first business that feels most like a legacy, most inclusive of the things I do and have done. Is it too generic? The tagline is something about honesty or truth because I am a taboo creator and ultimate blerd. I'm also thinking of the way I MC political panels and I troduce people and organizations. I don't know exactly what I will do now that I am a mother and COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, but I know where my soul is, generally speaking, where I come from. Other variations are: 1. Ventures 2. Jennifer Daniels Productions (seriously, that sounds hella choppy even typing it. Is that imposter syndrome? It feels worse than saying Tyler Perry out loud l. JK JK JK of course)
