EFT is a technique I have used with clients over the years to give them a tool that they can use for themselves… it is all about self-responsibility and empowerment! It means that dependency is not something that is cultivated in the therapeutic/client relationship, but rather movement towards autonomy. The technique is used for a variety of things to help loosen the grip of PTSD, addictions, anxiety, repeating mental loops, physical pain and more. It puts a solution in the hands your hands and allows for recalibration of the system. EFT is a neuroscience technique and makes use of acupressure points, the lymphatic systems and the neuroscience of shifting habitual neural pathways. As you see it is both a physical and energetic modality. In this technique we combine it with EMDR which also comes from neuroscience and allows the brain to shift habitual thinking patterns and begin to trace novel neural pathways.
