Hi. Jennie from Costa Mesa - not a musician, just a mom of a musician. My son plays in a lil' local band and since our band members don't have their own social media to join this, I am joining so that I can share it with them. The band (The Rebels) play a vairety of music (Weezer, Nirvana, Paramore, Muse, Billie Eilish, Jimmy Eats World to name a few). They've been together for a little over a year and have had the opportunity to play at a little restaurant in CM, won a school Battle of the Bands (between Dwyer & Sowers) which led them to perform at a local parade and they get to play at another local restaurant next month. It's been quite the whirlwind for the kids - they are loving every moment of it but are excited to get back to just practicing to learn new music and plan to write some songs of their own. It's quite a blessing to be a mom on the sidelines and watch them all grow! I think this forum will be something our bassist will be able to learn from... so thanks in advance for putting this together!
