Starting up a Skool community
I’m setting up the process, or rather trying to gain more of an understanding what I need to do and if a Skool community is right for my business. I’m interested to know how long you thought about starting in Skool Are there any businesses it wouldn’t work for. How do you decide on modules Do you offer a free or paid community Is your community a funnel to another platform Any other comments would be great too. Thanks 🙌🏻

@Jane Lovatt something like “I’m considering starting a Skool community. My business is ______. My ideal customer is ______. Their biggest problem is ______ and I help them ______. This is what I currently sell/offer ______. How could a Skool community fit into this?” I think you'll get much more useful advice that way. The other thing I would think about before worrying too much about modules, free versus paid, etc. is: What job do you want the community to do in your business? Is it somewhere to educate potential customers and build trust? Is it where you deliver a paid program? Is it ongoing support for existing customers? Is it somewhere people come for accountability and help implementing what they've learned? Or perhaps a combination of those things? Personally, I wouldn't start by creating loads of modules. I'd first get really clear on who you're helping, what they want to achieve, and why they'd have a reason to keep coming back to the community. Once you know that, deciding what goes into the Classroom and whether it should be free or paid becomes a lot easier. And don't feel as though you need to have the whole thing figured out before you start. Communities tend to teach you very quickly what your members actually need. 😊

🌱 Water a Plant to Level Up (ALL LEVELS WELCOME) 🌱
Here’s how it works 👇 Step 1: Drop a plant emoji 🌿 or a plant GIF in the comments Step 2: “Water” 3 other members plants by replying to their comment with a water💧emoji or GIF Getting likes and replies on your comment helps your plant grow (aka helps you level up) 🌱✨ Alright… go plant your seed and water your friends 💕🌿 PS - I am specifically tagging some Level 1 members that recently joined 🥰

I never thought this was possible…
I can only think of a few truly phenomenal life moments that have happened to me… Like, seeing U2 in their Joshua Tree tour in Marseille when I was 17, raising two incredible daughters, or Coldplay at Wembley Stadium (that was last year…very kool!!) and now running my business fully on Skool from anywhere in the world. Like today. Woke up in Bruges. Went for a bike ride through the medieval city and will do a little work & connect with members from a co-working space in my hotel that was built in 1637. I remember 9 years ago sitting in my COO office of my corporate job, that I worked my arse off to get, two years away from turning 50, thinking is this all there is? This empty-nester, digital nomad, Skool community owner life is the best thing ever!! Skool literally fell into my lap two years ago. It’s been a long time since a platform, process or person has had such a profound impact on my life and business. I pinch myself that this is my life! Thanks Skool!! How has Skool shifted things in your life?

What a hundred-year-old pram taught me about saying yes
I have to tell you what I did today. I was pottering about on an online auction, and I saw the most beautiful old perambulator. I thought, oh, I do like that. So I bid — no plan, no sense, just pure impulse. And then, it was mine. Actually mine. Now, I can already hear you thinking 🤔— "Lindsay, what on earth has a hundred-year-old pram got to do with anything in this group?" Honestly, in that moment, I hadn't the foggiest either. But isn't that so often the way? The things that feel the least relevant, the least sensible, the ones we nearly talk ourselves out of — they've a funny habit of turning out to matter more than we ever expected. So go on then — when was the last time you said yes to something before you had the faintest idea why❓️

I see old prams like these on my favourite tv series like call the midwife and movies like Mary Poppins. I bet it could tell some stories

I didn’t fully realize this myself at first... But! There is SO much value tucked away inside the different levels of this community! 💎 I’ve been working my way through the classroom, and the further I get, the more I realize just how much Brenda has packed in there for us! Let’s just say... the level unlocks keep getting better. 👀🔥 I love that @Brenda Rigney has created a pathway to get there through genuine participation, connection, sharing what we’re learning, and adding value to the community along the way. So, if you’ve been quietly hanging out in Skool Scale Camp, consider this your little nudge to jump into a conversation, share something helpful, or explore more of the community. There are some pretty fabulous goodies waiting for you as you level up! 💎 For those who have already unlocked a few levels, what’s been your biggest takeaway so far?
